I was on the floor at Cameron Indoor Stadium once not on a game day. I agree with the comments in the article, it is not that big, the fans are right on top of you. I bet it gets super loud in there, there is nowhere for the noise to go, it has to just bounce off the walls and reverberate.

I have been to a game at Cameron. It as loud as it gets for a college arena. Their students are second to none as far as constant cheering, starting about a half hour before game time.
