Hoping to see a good game here. We have everyone back from last years team that made the NCAA's, but alot of our fans are not sold on this years team being much better....mostly due to us only scoring 39 against Murray State. I expect us to be good this year. How good remains to be seen.
I remember we played you a few years ago. Lost by 4 up there.
Good luck and Go Bucs.

Yes, no sign up. No fees. No credit card needed.
The picture is not great quality and the camera work is not good but all you have to do is click the link.

I am so glad there wasn't a full week between games! Let's get ready to rumble!
According to Larry on the WHIO pre-game show... "Luke is healthy and will play".
Go Flyers!

Am I missing something with the video stream. Does the "full screen" button only fill up about 60% of the screen for everyone else. There's a black border around the screen, and grey bars on top and bottom. Is that the biggest screen you can get? Thought it was better last year.

My dad has vhs tapes from 1985 that look better than this....And I don't need a casanos add to take up the lower right hand quadrant of the screen. Anyone else have the wite noise/hissing noise in the background?

We completely overlooked Staten's defense. Terrible.
Now the whole team is infected. One would think a 34pt loss would get these guys a little more motivated. 13-2.

only way you lose to teams like this is to give up 3 pointers. We have already given up 3.

I wish our guards would not help so much on defense in the lane. Teams are killing us with the three ball. We simply give up way too many wide open outside shots. This has to stop before we can put teams away.

ETSU has not had 1 contested layup or 3. Pathetic. That was Staten's first 3 as a Flyer.

Their guard definitely walked, not sure if they got away with a charge, but at least he missed both shots.
Jeesh, 4 in a row from three.

Amazing how fast you get back in a game when you have people that can shoot the ball well. This is a luxury we did not have last year.
Our defense though still need a lot of improvement

Need to plan ahead for future games. Apparently the offense was stuck in I-75 traffic and was late arriving at the Arena.

Let's Itemize Mike Hartsock's Errors, Shall We
In the ten minutes that I have watched:
1.) "3-point shot by Josh Benson....err Parker."
2.) On ETSU's over and back: "...but Chris Wright beat him to the ball." No, that was Chris Johnson.
3.) After a made 3: "Luke Fabrizius's first shot of the year." Sorry, Mike. Luke hit the side of the backboard on his first shot.
I am not suggesting I could do a better job than Monsieur Hartsock. I am sure it is more than difficult than it appears. However, it is his bloody job to do play by play for UD basketball.

Our court vision has caught fire the last few minutes. Really nice to see. We're getting deflections and anticipating passes and we're making that extra pass for wide open threes. Not always hitting them in parker's case, but they're great shots in the flow of things.
It always seems that shooters shoot better when the pass is coming from the inside rather than just a pass from another spot on the perimeter. We're getting that little taste of penetration into the paint most of the time and making those inside-out passes that help the shooters line up their shots. Good to see.
I'd like to see more action on the baseline though because against a zone it's wide open.

Does Luke being back mean less time for Kavanaugh?

I am not suggesting I could do a better job than Monsieur Hartsock. I am sure it is more than difficult than it appears. However, it is his bloody job to do play by play for UD basketball.

And the game sure does look great on 1007 on TW doesn't it? Guess we should be happy that we can view/hear the game from home.

Dayton 9-15 from 3. 12-25 overall from the field. I'll feel better if we can get the ball inside.

It looks and sounds horrible. I watched a HS game from Kentucky live last night and their announcers, picture, and production were all better. They streamed it live on ihigh.com and I hooked it up to my big screen and it was 20 times better than this crap.

I remember being at the Auburn game in Chicago when they went 0-25 from 3--tho they did win that game it was ugly and it took them overtime to do it

Amazing how well and how hard we've played the last 8 minutes and yet we are only up 6 pts.

The current lineup is the best shooting lineup UD can put on the floor.

Did the last play of the half remind anyone of last year's ineptness to finish a half--boy that was ugly.

It is really bizzarre. We need to throw up the ball down low and let him out athlete these scrubby teams.

I missed the first half. I was able to check the score twice: Saw we were losing 17-3 and then later magically up by like 6. Did the 3 ball get us back in it? Because I'm scared to death if we just fall in love with the 3, I'm not sold that we can win many games like that.
Also, I saw Wright only has a few points. Has he missed a lot, or just not that involved in an offense operating from the perimeter? And is he at least cleaning up the boards?

BG only played 9 guys. No Hill, Oliver, or Kavanaugh. I like that! It appears Kav was playing because Luke was hurt.

This was at the last whistle before a media timeout. coaches do this often to get guys a little extra blow. according to GameTracker, Paul played 17 minutes in the first half. with that in mind, maybe not too bad of an idea to get him an extra couple of minutes rest.

He was a non factor. 1-4 with a 17 foot 15 footer, an airball, and a missed layup.

Not sure it has gone backwards--just not sure it's gotten any better than from when he was in HS--
He was able to over power other players with his athletic ability in HS--not so in college

I do find it hard to imagine that was our play. The only thing that play did was ensure that our opponent did not get another shot. We had 30 seconds. Why not call a timeout at 8/10 seconds and run an out of bounds play?
Just sayin'

They played zone against us so dribble drives were tough to come by. During the run, however, about all of the threes were off of good dribble penetration and passing. We did exactly what we needed to do to beat that defense. Nice to see the guys execute like that.

Agreed, but they need to do a better job this half in getting inside, or else I think it'll turn into another L.
