A10 teams: Disappointing start to the 2017 season.

It's still early in the season, but it seems that many of the A10 teams have already laid an egg or two. If this trend continues, UD will not have many chances (except against URI) to get signature wins during A10 league play.

So it makes it even more important for UD to do well during our non-conference games. Going 2-1 at least in the upcoming Wooden Legacy tournament would be a step in the right direction (and really need to win the first game so we play against higher ranked opponents for games #2 and #3).

	Rhode Island RHODE ISLAND The University of Rhode Island was chartered as the state's agricultural school in 1888. The school became the Rhode Island College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1892. Better day today so far. Richmond took care of Hampton and George Mason with a surprise victory over Kent State in the Gulf Coast Showcase.

	Richmond UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND Founded in 1830, the private liberal arts university in the Commonwealth boasts 2,800 students in 57 majors within its picturesque 350-acre campus. The Robins School of Business is one of the Top-20 business schools in the country. Nickname is the Spiders and are fellow A10 Conference members.

Most A10 teams have a good record but it is against poor teams. Fordham is 4-1, which is great, except I have never heard of the teams they have played. Same with VCU at 3-0.

That is the formula the Big East used for years to get bids to the NCAA. It looks good if the entire league has a 9+ non conference wins. When you beat them in conference, they only notice your opponents record, not who they beat.
