Gregg Marshall ejected from exhibition game
He is very ticked off. You don't see a coach get this angry very often, especially in an exhibition game.

I had to look this up. This is Gregg Marshall , the head coach of Wichita State in an exhibition game against Canada. Geez!

The only excuse I can think of is if he felt one of his players was at risk for injury. Other than that, c'mon! It is an exhibition game.

Agreed, we don't see what happened, but it has to be injury risk related. Otherwise no matter what happens is just a learning experience for the team--play from behind, play without a key player, play when you're not getting calls, etc.
Of course, as I have learned from certain highly publicized movements, if the ref was of a different persuasion and the coach was of a different (and opposite) persuasion, we could easily make a different assumption. But that's not possible here because the fact set does not allow it.

No time or place for a spectacle
IMO this is where he took the wrong fork in the road:
“Once I reacted, I said ‘I might as well get my money’s worth.”
Whether you are a kid, a coach, or a player, this is where it goes south. Bad choice.

Thought I saw he was just suspended by the Shockers. Didn't read any details to see how long, etc (doubt it's even a slap on the wrist).

Most AD's would cringe at the replay. Not the way you want your club to represent the U or the country. But his flippant attitude about it sealed the deal. They should suspend him.
He should have said, "Man, I lost it. Uncalled for and I am sorry". Even then it would be a tough call for the AD. But with zero contrition, game over.

Over an exhibition game? Nah. He had a bad day.
And we don't know, the ref might have called him a c******ker and the coach is actually doing the right thing by not telling everyone what happened. I'll bet the ref has already moved on.

Cripe, that's all the more reason to behave yourself and not act like a total a**hole. It's ONLY an exhibition game and you are a guest at their facility. What a great role model and an ambassador for WSU.
From McGill University:
Athletics: "Athletics are certainly there, but they aren't a huge part of campus life. Its really the best of both worlds; the teams are fairly good, well-equipped, and competently coached, but life doesn't revolve around sports."
In other words, when you are here as our guest, enjoy yourself and don't exaggerate your presence or your person. We are just not into your childish tantrums.

He acted like a dick. I agree. I just don't think it's suspension worty -- or heaven forbid expulsion worthy. It happens in sports, just like you probably told off a d-bag softball official at the local YMCA at some point. And with a mic in your face right after the game you probably would have said some stupid stuff too.
Now if he tells off 3 more officials over the next year then he's a total out of control hot-head. I just don't think losing his cool 1 time warrants such harsh punishment as you're suggesting.
If Archie did this would I be happy? No. But I wouldn't lose my mind over it, and I would not expect a suspension at all. A stern talking-to would be fine, and let's move on.

He is suspended for Wichita State's last game of their Canadian tour today, and I would expect that would be it.

With Van Fleet and Baker gone I suspect this guy may have some more meltdowns before the season is over.

He's a good coach. Didn't see the game so I can't really talk about it.
