Keys to the victory - Jalen Robinson's two big threes and the fact that we actually played a superb half of defensive basketball. This reminded me of the Georgia Tech game - lots of hands and deflections totally messing with the opponent's offensive schemes.

GREAT WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable. Anyone with a recipe for crow, send it my way. Win vs. Richmond & make a respectable (quarters win still a must, semi win gravy) showing in the A-10 tourney & I think we're dancing.

I know this program is turning a corner....
BECAUSE we would have ****ed it away in the last 5 years in the last 2 minutes.
We hit our Free throws, got scrappy loose balls and rebounds and steals, and some key buckets when necessary.
Check that again.... was that UD Flyer basketball we were watching? Someone man pinch me!

Here ya go:
Summer Crow Kabobs
Ingredients
16 pieces of crow breast meat (no bones) (8 crows)
16 pieces of green pepper
16 cherry tomatoes
8 button mushrooms
8 ears of sweet corn
1 1/2 cups of Teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup melted butter
8 kabob skewers
Preparation
Cut each piece of crow in half and place in a covered bowl with the Teriyaki sauce over night. Clean and cut each ear of corn into 3 pieces. Cook in boiling salt water for 10 minutes. Alternately put corn (3 pieces), green peppers (3 pieces) and cherry tomatoes (3) along with 4 pieces of crow meat on each skewer. Use 1 mushroom to top each skewer. Brush with melted butter and place on preheated grill for about 4 minutes. Flip, butter again and place back on grill for another 4 minutes. Repeat one last time for a total of 12 minutes or until they appear done. Serves four adults.
Crock Pot Crow
Ingredients
12 - 16 pieces of crow breast meat (no bones) (6 - 8 crows)
2 cups barbecue sauce
1 cup water
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of chopped onions
1/3 cup of chopped green peppers
salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation
Shred crow breasts into as small pieces as possible. Add to crock pot with all other ingredients. Cook in crock pot for 6 hours on low. Serve over rolls or bread. Makes 4 servings.
Crow Casserole
Ingredients
12 pieces of crow breast meat (no bones) (6 crows)
2 quart sauerkraut
6 slices of bacon
1/3 cup of chopped onions
Preparation
Brown the crow breasts in a skillet with butter or oil. When browned, place them in a casserole dish on 1/2 inch layer of sauerkraut. Lay a 1/2 strip of bacon on each 1/2 breast and sprinkle the onion on them. Next, add another layer of sauerkraut and some of the juice. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Makes 2 servings.
Now, if you need something to wash that crow down with, check out this Murder of Crows cocktail recipe, make with good, ol' Kentucky Old Crow Bourbon. Yeah, that helps a lot!

Check out Sibert's statistics for the game: 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 (yes 4!) steals! That's a nice game for a player who has the potential to do this every game. In all, the Flyers had 10 steals. These opened the door to running the court and getting a lot of easy buckets on the run!

Happy birthday. Some think my birthday is march 27, some only recognize that as the start of the sweet 16. I hope my present is better than your present

I've said this many times but it is a long season with ups and downs. Fortunately we've had many more ups than downs. SLU is having a major down right now. We seem to be playing confident ball at the right time.

The game turned when Jalen stepped up and hit his three when the Flyers were down 57-52. Everyone seemed to be waiting for someone to step. Jalen broke the ice.

Yep. JR got 6 in a way that no one expected him to get them, and we won by 5. As they say, "Do the math".
And, in a twist on a saying from the early '80s...
Who shot?
JR!

Really . . . the "nattering nabobs of negativism" that populated the first two pages of this game thread should go sit in the corner for awhile. Then - and only then - should they be allowed to join the party.

Start them in the 2H, along with Robinson I guess.
Play Price. Then see if Robinson, DO, Scott, or Kavs can play 4/5. But do not sit Schoohie, Pierre, Sibert, or Pollard right now!!!

When I wrote this at halftime, I would have no idea Robinson would play the way he would in the 2H :-)

It is part of being a fan, the 1H was totally frustrating. We played better than St. Louis, but were behind. Great win!

Here we go again. Another blatant and ruthless insult that is directed specifically at someone that doesn't agree with you.
Seriously, why don't you start a thread, call it "Glen's firing squad", and take all your shots. Get it out of your system.

From now on lets have two game threads. The "half empty" thread for the crumudgeons and the "half full" thread for the delusional kool-aid drinkers. That way we won't anger each other so much.

Blatant and Ruthless - that's my middle name.
Here's the post you are so mindlessly defending:
"I seriously can't wait until DMO is graduated. He gets annointed "best player on team" and continues to kill momentum in big games because he's entitled to take stupid shots and throw stupid passes"
Any poster who singles out an individual player for ridicule or scorn has opened themselves for the same in return.
Perhaps, though, my criticism is beyond the pale - so let me rephrase:
Smitty10 - you're not a f*****g @ss, you're just a regular @ss.
Sorry about the hurt feelin's.

I wouldn't be so hard on Rollo.
He does have his coterie of admirers (though I'm not among them) . . .

I would like to thank Glen for the negative pips and the comments to "Get over yourself" Unlike you, I mentioned no names and did not direct the comment directly at anyone in particular. Guess you must have assumed I was talking about you in my post above.
At least this time it was a simple "Get over yourself" instead of the profanity you used the first two times we ever traded messages.
With this being the third time, I guess I will stoop to your level and I am happy to announce to the world that I think you are an absolutely pathetic excuse for a human being. Your continuous rants and slams on posters here are completely uncalled for, and the day your off this board is the day I pay up as a Pride Plus member again in support of the owner of this sites taking out the trash.

as well as a dozen others...
Clayton, glenn, like most females, feels the need to attack when their feelings are hurt. It's in his/her DNA and can't be controlled...kinda like a disability.
If Glen knew that I anonymously bought his son, vclark*, his first P+ membership 4 or 5 years ago, he'd explode. Can you imagine Glen or anyone else in his family benefitting from my generosity and liking it? And isn't it nice to know that Rollo owns just a little bit of you and your son? I call it charity....part of the Catholic 'guilt' thing that you'll never understand.
Enjoy your shower Glen...use extra beach and coarse sandpaper...especially in your nether regions...
