Very Early it looks like the paint is an area of weakness. I wish Kav's would develop quickly.

Best alley oop pass for CW. Anyone else and I don't think that's a basket. CW's incredible athleticism allowed that dunk to happen.

You are probably right because the next two went through our hands and CW would have flushed them.

When is Wright going to stop shooting threes? He doing more harm to this team and his chances to play in North America by continuing to shoot them.

CJ seems to be taking shots that are not necessarily good shots. I only wonder if he is too concerned about numbers. Those forced threes kill any type of momentum.

Seeing some nice cuts and passes in the lane tonight, and a lot of them are ours. Not all of them are finished, but the effort is much better.

Wrights three was open and everything else is going in for him. It's only bad when he misses and he's feeling it.

Don't want to go overboard right now, but this team is just not showing a whole lot of improvement game-to-game so far in this season.

Josh too far out, and CJ sliding sideways with a shot from 22 ft. That's not going to work for us.

Kav needs to catch the ball on the rebound. Instead he bats it around like it's on fire.

Folks (not there are many people following tonight).....we are not a good basketball team. We very well might lose tonight. That would be Western Carolina, ETSU, Savannah State and Central Connecticut State - all down to the wire. This is Jim O'Brien stuff.
We can't run an offense, we can't hit a FT, we can't hold onto the ball. Embarrassing. This all goes back to the UC game and I said we would not recover.

It is amazing what an impact that UC game had. I thought the D would be a work in progress this year, but I am simply dumbfounded at how bad the offense has been/continues to be and there is no evidence it is going to improve.

I have to admit that was the scariest part of the half. Carolina sensed it and went right to the paint.

The defense has made some progress tonight.
Seriously, if we had no offensive plan, we still should shoot better than this---- 40/30/60% at an absolute bare minimum puts us up 6. Everyone looks anxious on their shots, no comfort zone whatsoever.

Before the season, I would have said the same thing, but it's very clear after watching the team play a 1/3 of their season that we are a very average to below-average team. This is not surprising at all right now.

Would you really not throw a zone at this team? They had 18 points in the paint in the first half and continue to take it to the hole against us. How long do we play stubborn and not change things up to fit the game?

Kavs needs to find a program like NKU. He is not a D-1 talent.

This game isn't over yet! A victory over Western Carolina at home should not be looked at as a major victory. We have much to worry about the in conference schedule.

We were getting too big of a lead. Gotta give the fans their moneys worth.

Agreed and the inability to put away any team is certainly concerning.

Really like CJ's take to the basket there. He needs to do more of that.

CJ is having a great second half on both sides of the ball.

Never thought I'd say it but I'd rather see KH than Kavanaugh

Mile High - You really need to look at and examine CJ's overall play. Just take a serious look at his numbers. Check out his shooting percentage especially from three point range. I love the guy but his stats are not that great this year.

Definitely agree with this. Nice to see him take the ball to the basket a couple of times. If he consistently does this, it will do wonders for our offensive game. We need him to do more than camp out at the 3-point line.

I think that is what I was saying. His game has been way too much just hanging out at the 3 point line and not taking the ball to the basket.

How a ref could go to the replay and then call that foul on CW is absolutely unfathomable. Probably worst call I've seen this season.

Who is making excuses? Pointing out a bad call is not excusing poor play.

Agreed. Bad call as it may have been, this is still WCU at home. This is a game that should have been decided a long time ago. Only have ourselves to blame for letting them hang around...

Typical fade in the 2nd half, but they pulled it out more on Western Carolina not being able to do anything on offense. Nothing about this game gives me optimism for A-10 season or some of tougher non-con games coming up.
