I am lucky enough, or not lucky, to be watching the game. I have had trouble at times. For those that are on the thread to get updates, try to give scores if you can. I know it is tough to watch and type though.
UD down 3 with 3:37 left.

Big time props to the crowd! They showed up huge for a December 30th game and, in my opinion, helped push us over the top. Way to go Flyer faithful.

Whew maybe, but luck had no part in it. Mason is a **** fine team that hit us with several haymakers. We withstood and shut them down in the end. 11-2 run in the last 3 minutes or so.
We earned that win, and it was a mighty fine win.

This team, and I do mean TEAM deeps coming at you......they never quit. Every night somebody else steps up to the plate. A mark of a good TEAM! Tonight RL with the steal then later hits the front end of a one and one to make it a 2 possession game. What can you say about CJ and the way he just stroked that trey?

Took a while for the cream to rise to the top, but what a game by CJ and RL - and KH silenced some critics and just needs to keep up what he is doing and UD will be fine in conference - Great Win against a quality team! Getting a little better each game and looks like some pixie dust has been sprinkled on this team (remember Peter Pan? You need some magic to fly.)

Quick RPI jump to 25. SOS jumped to 145. Those will probably both fall a bit over the next couple of days, but I imagine they'll settle into the 30/160 range.

Still feel lucky in the fact that they shot 12-23 from the FT line and still managed a win. If they had lost this game, this board would be going nuts on how the bad FT shooting cost them a W.

I predict it will be a little looney tomorrow anyway, because a lot of fans had the Flyer obituary written. We will hear about CL for sure.
A big W for the good guys--that's all that matters.

It wasn't pretty tonight but I see the glass as half full and I think, you, Kiefaber, see it as half empty. Let's stress the positive. With every win this team gets more confident. They believe in themselves and the coaching staff. I think that is very obvious.

If he would do that every night, you would hear NO complaints from me. Solid effort by Kurt.....Kind of a double edged sword, he started taking some bad shots because he got a little too confident, but I can deal w/ some of the bad shots if he plays like that. Good game by Kurt....
But the one major thing I took from this game, and other games too.....Chris Johnson needs to be in the game more & more!

This is exactly the kind of game that you need to win at home. Way to go Flyers! 12-1, not too shabby! Glad to see that KH had a solid game.

I think we have seen the end of Charles in late game situations. He adds nothing. At this point Chris Wright is better guarding the 4. So bringing in Chris Johnson for Charles makes them better at both ends of the floor.
I also like Lowery better than Warren late game, he keeps the defense honest.

I agree completely.
I also think Searcy played a lot better in the second half...Although he wasn't so good in the 1st half. He ended up w/ 4 pts 4reb and 1 block in limited time. If we can get that sort of production (12 points, 11 reb, and 5 blocks) out of our 5 position, no matter who it is, we have to be very happy!

I thought we might see some offense-defense substiutions....LW for RL on D and RL for LW on O, for example.

First game I've got to see all year -- was on in the DC area. Maybe that's what sparked Lowery -- family and friends could watch. Whatever, I almost . . . almost got p.o'ed when Kurt threw the ball away and us down five with around 4 minutes left. Nice win against a quality club and quality coach. May be the first time Jim L has lost at the arena. Don't think he played there with BGSU, but won those two games when the Pats were on their Final Four run a few years ago.
Think I'll go have a nightcap . . . I'd have a nightcap anyway but always nicer when the boys bring it home.

LUCK? ARE YOU SERIOUS? What a freaking great game and I say freaking so you dont see all those little bullets. I have not seen a Dayton team play that way in a long time. They are just gonna get better and better all year. Will we have some shortcomings? Heck yea we will, but so will everyone else in the country. Oklahoma goes to Arkansas and is getting blasted. Give me this effort and energy all year and you will be watching the Flyers in HD on CBS in March

I haven't been a super KH supporter, but tonight I was glad to see him get the pass and go right up with the shot early in the game - made a few early, then missed a few later, but my main complaint with him in the past was his hesitation, like he expected to get blocked, and the hesitation would lead to actually getting blocked. But tonight, he got it, went up with it, no hesitation. And if he missed it he usually got fouled. Keep it up Kurt! You are making progress and so is the team.
Now, when Chris Wright comes into his own, NBA style, (he hasn't quite got there yet, but it's just a matter of time), this team will be looking at Final Four as an achievable goal!

Some late game heroics in this one. But Rob Lowery's steal, dunk, two assists. an offensive rebound---in 60 seconds was a huge spurt when we really needed it.

You are thinking about X, not Dayton 455.

You go nuts in the game thread Kiefaber..sometime I wish your f'ing computer would just get a virus on gameday so I wouldn't have to read your carping.
Frankly it gets old...
This team is 12-1 and tonight had absolutely nothing to do with luck....it was heart, determination, teamwork and GUTS!!

Not sure if someone has said this yet, but I can see CJ turning into a Brian Roberts type player- Underrated coming out of HS, because most of the focus was on PW. I can definetly see him becoming our go-to-guy in clutch situations, and putting up 30 against top 10 teams (like BRob) by the time his career is over. I'm not suggesting that he is currently a better player than BRob was, I'm just saying that, well, he will be.

That would be wonderful.
During the game, I thought a couple of times of how great it would be to have a BRob to go to in this game.

Not to be too negative...but Wright is a long way off from NBA caliber right now. He can get there, but he has to really start coming on! I just wish he would dribble to the basket rather than flying towards it.....If he'd just take an extra dribble and elevate OVER the defender, rather than trying to jump through him almost, I think he'd be better off.
