Shouldn't be. They are terrible, losses to IPFW, TNTech, IUPUI and no wins of significance. Would be crushing should we lose to RPI 254 in our gym.

Flyers down by 10, 5 minutes into second half. Pierre rush to the locker room and comes back dressed in uni. Enters the game with 10 minutes left to a standing O. Score 15 unanswered points and Flyers win by 5.

The Flyers (X) just got caught with something that they are really poor at - watching the end line when taking it out. The Flyers are horribly out of synch on offense - turnovers, bad shot selection, penetration and getting caught up in the air, and no ball movement.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed that't the firist time I've seen it called as lots of guys--Pollard in particular-- step over the end line when in-bounding the rock.

A normal Miami game. They play better than their record and give us fits. Their 67% to our 20 something % does not help.

29-25-43 Our shooting percentages -- not good enough. Gotta hit some shots or we will struggle all night. Rebounding is tied 12-12.

We appear to be playing decent defense, but Miami is shooting 60% to our 29. Not consistent on D every time down.

I don't know the rebound count, but it feels like we are getting out-rebounded again. I know Miami has 4 offensive rebounds.

I think the Flyers need to press and run against this team. We need to beat this zone defense down the court. We aren't attacking the zone in the middle as we used to do. That's one thing that Pierre excelled at.

He just tried again to convert a fast break all by himself. I like the mindset of attack-but not when it's 1 vs 3 and that's the 2nd time tonight he's tried to do that. When you don't have numbers....

John Crosby just threw a very poor pass for a Miami jam. He needs to focus much more on ball security.

Old Redskins 31-29 at the half. The last three out of four halves have been pretty dismal for the Flyers. They must stop the dribble penetration by Washington and then the kid is smart enough to kick it out.

Only 2 down, 31 - 29, while shooting 33 to Miami's 58%. Archie will work his magic.

Defense is really good 1H. They score only 31 points on lights-out shooting including running 1 hand bank shots from 12 feet and off-balance fall-away 3s.
Get anything on offense in the 2H, keep playing great defense, and hope Miami does not continue hitting the circus shots.

Speaking of point guards, what the heck is wrong with Scoochie? He seems to have checked out the last three games. He appears timid at the point...not penetrating smartly like he was earlier in the season. He's not really running the offense to the level he is capable.

GW, URI, Davidson, Richmond, even Duquesne will be laying in wait for the Flyers the way they have been playing. Winning the A-10 is certainly no gimme. And we shouldn't expect that everything is going to change that dramatically or quickly with DP on the floor.

This current team is similar to BGs teams. Slowvthe game, pack the paint and force them to shoot jump shots. Flyers had any open three they wanted

Hard to penetrate against a 2-3 zone. What is sad is that they aren't even getting a lot of wide open shots from the perimeter.

Cooke has 7 rebounds -- but is not playing well offensively. Smith has 3 assists but is ZERO for everything offensively.
We need these two players to find their offense in the second half.

OK, these guys are shooting 41%/30% for the season. They are 0-3 on the road.
Tonight they are 58%/50% for the first half. This has to normalize the second half.
Eric Washington is averaging 13 pts for the season. He has 12 at the half. We are making him look like Jameer Nelson.
C'mon FLYERS!!

Dayton is playing its best defense ever under Archie now up to #21 in the nation according to kenpom.
Offense is still a work in progress, Archie will figure it out.
I have a ton of faith in Archie, he figures out how to win.

Charles with a corner 3! He is feeling it now. I think we will have to accept the fact that Charles, like his predecessor, Jordan Sibert, is just a streaky player.

Miami 1/2
My Team 9/16
There's the difference and will be the reason we win.

Maybe so, but we still don't get this '' arm bar" thingy. Sometimes we are downright stupid about it.

I guess high off the glass for a left handed layup is a better decision...huh!

Wow, Charles Cook came to play on both ends in this second half. He is a bit more under control with the ball in his hands.

Cooke and Big Steve are well on their way to double-doubles...and another Golden DNutz Award!

I think that is the most difficult thing for a freshman point guard to overcome. In high school, you can penetrate and take it uncontested to the hole. In D-1 ball, you merely find yourself in the land of the giants and then you try to make a decision while your are in the air.

We needed this. And when Smith comes off the bench (sitting after 3rd foul) he needs to get right back into it offensively too. I believe he hit both his shots in the 2nd before picking up a 3rd foul.

Scoochie with 4 fouls. He probably needs to sit for a couple of minutes, but then the offense goes downhill and the turnovers increase. Maybe John Crosby just needs to play through it until he learns.

Wow, I am impressed with Washington. He is as quick and shifty a point guard as we have faced, except for the kid from Monmouth.

Flyers have 11 total fouls and Scoochie has 4 of them. Inexcusable for a PG.
