It's time for me to be positive, here's what I got.
Wichita St. has rolled over teams. They have not been in many dog fights. I seriously think this is a big disadvantage as they take on one of if not their toughest opponent of the season. I've used the same strategy in Kentucky Derbys by looking through the favorites and throwing out the ones who've never won by less than 8 lengths. I really think this effects humans more than horses.
So of course the key here is for the Flyers not to get off to their normal slow start. I would think based on the magnitude of the event, they won't.

I like that point Smitty. Add in the fact that they appear young - their top 2 scorers are a soph and a frost. How many dog fights have their go to players been involved in?

So in other words, all the Todd Pletcher trained speed horses. I do the same.

Speed and stalkers. Closers are a little trickier for the Derby but very few have had all their past 2 and 3 year old races won by a landslide. The Flyers are definitely the closers in this race so nothing to worry about here.

Looking forward to this game and I have to admit that I have always pulled for the Shockers. Think that they are better than a 10 seed but understand the rationale as we hear it every selection Sunday.
Tend to think that they are like us in that they have a strong fan base that understands the game and travels well. Don't expect to see only Flyer fans at the game.
Expect that their board is like ours as well and we will enjoy the comments. So, here is a link:

We got a 7 seed...seems about right...seems fair.
Indy is close, very easy travel distance for the fans.
WSU might be underrated, some metrics have them rated higher than others...they lost 4 of their tougher games though:
Date Opponent (Expected RPI) Conf Location Score Outcome Prob(W) Spread
11-24 Louisville (7.0) ACC N 62-52 L 0% 0.0
11-25 Michigan St. (51.0) B10 N 77-72 L 0% 0.0
12-3 Colorado St. (65.0) MWC A 67-82 W 100% 0.0
12-17 Oklahoma St. (39.0) B12 H 76-93 L 0% 0.0
1-14 Illinois St. (33.0) MVC A 76-62 L 0% 0.0
2-4 Illinois St. (33.0) MVC H 86-45 W 100% 0.0
3-5 Illinois St. (33.0) MVC N 51-71 W 100% 0.0
I am sure that they are a tough opponent. Will have to play well to win.

Average rating from the above page of metric ratings is 17.43...so they definitely appear to be very underrated...those ratings would seem to indicate that they should be more like a 5 seed.
So, they are definitely going to be a very tough opponent.
Oh well, buck up.

Nearly every prediction over there has them winning by double digits. We've lost like 1 game by more than 6 points. They will be shocked (pun intended) to know this won't be easy. We aren't one of their crappy conference teams.
