Game Recap:

What else can be said that I didn't say in the recap. We lack talent. That's 98% of what we're fighting right now. At 8-9 positions we're overmatched and relying on players probably one level above their pay grade. Golz just has to make the best of it and "recruit daily or perish" as Horsmon likes to say.
I think Golz is a quality coach and has assembled a quality staff. But there isn't a thing he can work on in practice or draw up on his whiteboard that will dramatically alter the ceiling of this team. Its beyond coaching. Unlike last year when Alexis Kiehl could hide overall team weaknesses with some individual brilliance at times, there's no one in this roster in that same galaxy from a technical or speed category offensively. We are young up top. Can't deny that. But none of our opponents care. There are skills we lack on almost every single touch of the ball, pass we consider, or decision we make that is a soccer skill that cannot be taught -- you either have it or you dont and no amount of coaching will put it in you. Its instinctual to the game itself.
The good news is we can put a new foot forward on Sunday so the turnaround is short. Here's to remaining realistic but optimistic.
