Big shot by KD. Only 2nd game all season that went down to the final second, first being Texas A&M. This team looked a little gassed to me most of the game, especially that series early in the 2nd half when the shots were all coming up short. But they are fighters and that's what they did in this game.

Gutted that out. Played very soft for a while and it almost cost us a must win.

Awesome win!!!! Sounded like Kyle is the player of the game. Well deserved for this D and that huge shot.

I just hope this team never has to play an overtime game.

Mooney should be suspended next game -- went after the ref after the game. Fouls even for the game and if anything, Richmond got more calls.

His own player who pushed Sibert went over and told Mooney he pushed him, so let up.

Kyle Davis kept their top scorer in single digits. Lock down defense. Then he came up huge with that layup at the end of the game.
All in all a huge win, and we really had to earn it. This team continues to amaze!

Whew, sweating on that finish. Didn't play great in the 2nd half, but a lot of big plays down the stretch by the sophmores to get the win.

Announcers on SNY gave Pierre the POG but Kyle was big. This was more than just beating Richmond after Tuesday night's loss at Davidson. Proud of these guys and how they pulled out a W. Archie knows that the conference is studying our games and figuring how to handle UD. Expect to see more close games.

Cline clearly shoved Sibert out of bounds on the play where Mooney went nuts. I remember last year when RIchmond shot 32-35 at the line. Flyers breathed on one of their guards and it was a foul

Spiders are the first team really to take big advantage of the Flyers lack of height. Cline, Allen and Ododa on the floor together were too much most of the night.

Mooney should have been given a T after the foul call on Cline.

Actually, we won the battle of the bigs. Pierre and Pollard outscored Cline and Ododa 39-25. So our quickness more than made up for the size difference.

A game of two halves....
Looking at the stats....very close overall. But not by halves. The Flyers shot very well in the 1st, UR poorly. In the second half the Spiders shot very well and UD poorly. Both teams shot well from the foul line. Even in just about all areas.
I noticed that UR played just seven guys for all but six minutes. But, those six minutes of rest for the other 7 guys matters.
A very close game...heart stopper.
And 13,400+ fannies in the seats.
Win at least one of the next two and we finish the first half of the A10 season at 7-2. Better than good.

richmond generally plays only 7. 5 forwards and two guard. They did a great job on offense of exploiting whatever matchup was favorable.

Did anyone at courtside see Archie get toe-to-toe with BW (in his face kinda despite a height difference) at the end of the first half TV timeout?
It was after BW's bucket in the paint at one end and KD's block right after at the other end. Archie met him head on coming to the huddle. Couldn't tell if he was unhappy about something or trying to motivate after his rebound and put-back.

Anniuncers weren't sure either my take was he was giving him an earful for his big balls in the middle of their bigs and then getting the score. Think it was tough love and approval for his play. Kinda like a fellow player giving a chest bump.

I'm so glad someone posted the link to Devin's video. I saw it at the arena, but couldn't hear what he was saying. I loved to see his family, too. Brought back old times!
The 2nd half of the game I was a nervous wreck and practically hyperventilated the last 4 mins. My whole section was standing for those last mins., but I had to sit down during the time outs, lol.
This wasn't an easy game, which some might have thought it would be with a 10 pt lead at the half. Our guys gutted it out and brought it home--that's all that matters. I never expect a "pretty" game, just good effort.
On to UMass--Go Flyers!
