Barkley is back
Did he not learn from last year? Picking Oklahoma easy over Dayton...I love when he picks against us though, worked out well last year. he has no business being a college basketball analyst at all. Gosh I hope we can win tomorrow and hear more media pundits ***** about us!!

Newsflash, we are the #11 seed playing a #3 seed. Most people will be picking the favorite, that is what being an underdog is all about. Who cares about other people's opinions. It has no impact on the game. We know what this team is capable of. Keep winning, that will change some of their opinions. I don't mean to direct this post to the poster who started this thread. I'm directing it to most of the board who are constantly complaining about "lack of respect" and commentator's opinions. Overall, it means nothing.
Barkley is entertaining. I watch him for entertainment, not to provide me help with my brackets. The studio show got a lot more fun and entertaining with him, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson added. I love Kellogg too. My only wish is they would permanently replace boring Gumbel with Ernie Johnson.

I am simply saying there was a lot of talk about him last year...I am not saying people shouldn't pick Oklahoma but tossing it up as an easy win for them is not smart especially for a guy that was wrong 3 times last year. All i ask for is a little more repsect... haha if you enjoy watching Barkley that's your opinion but I certainly can't stand him....

Maybe he said something I didn't see, but a little while ago he was showing his bracket and he said "I think Oklahoma will beat Dayton." That is better than last year when he said Syracuse was going to give Dayton a "beat down."

When there was discussion about the upcoming Kansas/Wichita St. game, Barkley chimed in by saying Ohio State should be playing Dayton.

Ernie Johnson just asked Charkley to rank the NC State upset of Nova on a scale of 1 to 10. He deadpanned: "13". Never missed a beat. You can't write that kind of comedy.
BTW, Barks had Villanova in the National Championship Game. Bracket busted!

I love that Barkley has to take time to comment on Dayton basketball. Ten years ago this would seem ludicrous to me.

The only reason Charles, Kenny Smith, Rachel Nichols and Ernie Johnson are there is the partnership between Turner and CBS. Ernie Johnson can handle anything as can Nichols. "The Jet" and Sir Charles are better suited for the NBA.

As a longtime Sixers fan I've been a fan of Charles Barkley since I was a kid. He's funny and he's a lot smarter than people give him credit for. He's not wrong to pick Oklahoma to beat us handily. They're the #3 seed. They should beat us handily. Doesn't mean they will, and I don't think they will, but it's hardly an egregious prediction. Barkley may pick against us, but he certainly knows who we are now and he's always complimentary of us when we win.
He's a good dude and the Capital One commercials with Samuel L. Jackson and Spike Lee are hilarious. As is the latest CDW commercial with Rick Mahorn and Scottie Pippen.
