Kyle Davis 9 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists, and lock down D on the Big East player of the year- only gets 2n place though sadly
Pierre gets my vote though!
Might vote again in the morning after a good nights sleep.

Certainly a total team effort, but to pick one I'm going with KD. He set the tone that told PC we will not back down.

Kyle Davis, no ifs ands or buts. He came out the 2nd half on fire, he willed this team to the lead and made sure they held it until the offense got into the flow. without KD's early 2nd half, we might have had to vote on golden rollos.

I don't think many teams have seen a player as committed to defense as Kyle Davis. He definitely disrupts early and often...in Dunn's grill all game.

Geeze, I am Kyle Davis biggest cheerleader all year long, and the one game I vote for someone else most of the rest of you vote for KD (rightfully so). Must be time for me to switch to coffee tonight.

KD shut down the Big East player of the year. Dunn will be signing an NBA contract in a year or two. His performance was something of legends. Pierre was awesome. Sibert's shot was a bit off, but he rocked C-Bus with all that Thad let go South. But, we would not have won tonight without KD. He exemplified all that is an MVP performance. In another thread, I mentioned that the key was shutting down Dunn. Thanks to KD, we did just that!

If you were at the game you know how much of a stud Dunn is. He's stupid quick. And Kyle shut him DOWN. He was in his head, several of his fouls I had great angles to see and were not fouls, he owned that guy like no one has all year. KD all day long.

Plenty of hero's to go around, but Kyle Davis was THE MAN tonight. Absolutely owned Dunn from start to finish. That guy will be playing in the NBA very soon and KD completely took him out of his game.

I can't vote for just one. While KD locked-down Dunn, somebody also had to lead on offense, and tonight that was Pierre. Everyone had "decent" games at worst, but those 2 were standouts.

There were 7 heros tonight! I can't vote for just one. I wish there were an All Of The Above category, lol.
If you haven't already, check out PC's fan website for 29 pages of ranting and whining mixed in with colorful language concerning the refs, the partisan crowd and the Flyers (who totally SUCK, by the way). They seem to have no clue as to why Dunn got so useless as the game wore on.
Undersized is a handicap? Their senior 7 ft center scored NO points. He had 1 assist, 5 rebs, NO blocks, 2 TOs and 3 fouls. No blocks and no points. 6'8" Bentil had 5 pts, 6'9" Harris had 2pts. Three of our undersized players scored 11, 15 and 20. Everyone else scored 6 or 4 and had 16 rebounds among them. Height is definitely overrated.

Pollard's blocks early on were such an emotional lift. Gave it to him because the blocks said we can do this. And we did!

Their big men don't score, it's like a BG offense. They're there to set picks and rebound so not totally surprising. They were kind of stiffs.

Pierre, was theeeeeeeeee man! Basically he had a double double, and his defense was splendid like everyone else. If Pierre goes off for double digit points and nearly ten rebounds, then Flyers will beat Oklahoma as well.
But like many games, Bobby Wehrli fills the gap and plugs the whole. That tip-in was awesome; but that rebound and put-back was pure grit. Now that's how you play the game. Thanks Mr. Wehrli, for bringing your lunch box and steel toed sneakers to every game. You Rock!

That's true; but a couple of players are way too nervous right now when attempting, or passing-up and open three point shot. Not mentioning any names, just stating the facts. In order for UD to realistically move forward and win more games, we have to make a few more open threes. Otherwise, we put our defense in such an uphill position the whole game. If not but for all those failures to convert, Flyers would have blown Providence right out of the building before half-time.
National name schools are and will be underestimating our defense (due to lack of size and depth; as well as "Big Boy Power Conference Mindset); so a few conversions on open shots, would really increase our chances for continued advancement.

Kyle controlled their stud. That was the biggest difference maker and changed the flow of the game to get my vote.
Do wish he could shoot a little. taking fewer outside shots but still missing badly. You'd think with his athleticism he'd be a better than awful shot.

9 defensive rebounds, 9 overall rebounds, and 5 steals were career highs for Kyle Davis.

He actually sat down for 14 seconds of game time. 39:46 with a +13. Pollard led with a +16.
I wanted an 8th option, though. The Flyer Faithful. I made the last minute trip with the wife, grabbed some Albany tickets after they were leaving, and had great seats for the game. Standing and yelling the entire game was flat out awesome!
