Dayton ran their cross country guys at the Miami Invitational in Oxford yesterday. Matt Lemon blew away the old UD school record of 14:53.64 in the 5K with a sizzling 14:39.61. That was a 20 second improvement over his time from just last week. Brother Chris did a 14:53.69 - only 00:00.05 off the old school record as well. They finished first and second in the race. The Lemons are both freshmen. They will run again next week at UC in the All-Ohio championships.

Boy did we ever land a couple of talented brothers here! I still find it very odd that Mike Andersen has disappeared.... You would think that if we had Mike and the Lemon brothers all running that we would be doing even better. Not to mention that the three guys could all push each other even further.
Still, very impressive times! In high school, I was happy to run a 5K, ( 3 miles to be honest, I do not think the metric system had been invented yet, LOL ), in under 20 minutes.... I think my absolute best times were in the 18's. Sub-15 min. is scary fast!
