Burnt Golden Unforced Turnover Award...
In the pregame radio show, Coach Grant says the team needs to cut down on the 21 turnovers My Flyers had in the first game vs URI this season. Obviously the team didn't get his message.
So it's our job to send a more direct message to the Flyer whose play was so atrocious that it destroy any chance of a much wanted road win.
Vote away...but don't touch...like our dribbling and soft passes, you'll get burned.
UGH!

BabyD,Cunningham, and the former junior Pride of Beatty. I vote for all three!
X got my actual vote. You just knew a guy named "X" wasn't going to workout well at UD.

I am not voting for anyone. Complete beatdown and a better performance by just one player would not have made a difference.

That was a tough call, but to me it's DD. Crutcher had a bad game but he's a frosh. DD, as we've said all season, is a senior who should know better and play better, but seems to have gotten steadily worse over the course of the season. After some of those big scoring games earlier, he's mostly gone AWOL. Cunningham certainly played a role, but fouls did him in more than anything.

Voted XW. Of those who played, DD had the most subpar game. But at least he didn’t quit on the program. XW did, so...

But I still appreciate DD's growth, he's tried hard to be a leader and has really picked up his game from last year. We'd have fewer wins without him stepping up.

Patience my friend...patience!
As I stated after the last poll, there's a 2-3 minute gap between when the thread is posted and when the poll is attached. Take a deep breath, vote for XW and get back to your regularly scheduled program. Or beer. Or both!

People gave me crap for saying it last year and even early in the season but there’s no doubt in my mind that DD’s graduation will be an asset to this team. He does nothing to benefit the TEAM. Tunnel vision, turnovers, and flailing/flopping. Not to mention complete and total regression in defensive effort and ability. Freshman mistakes as a senior. He’s suited for European basketball. Enjoy and make a career over there but we need to play a game that he’s not suited for to return to success.

And I can't believe anyone is picking X. I doubt he would have put up 25 pts tonight against this team. His career high is 18 pts.

There is an avalanche of disappointment for and dismay with X Williams. Normally, it's the coach who pushes a player out of the program. In this case, I think it will be the fans who push his butt out the door!

Pierce was a mistake from day one. Anyone with that size and a little desire could become a decent D-1 center. In many respects he reminds of the McDonalds All-American (not because of his accomplishments on the court, but in the restaurant!) Desmond Adedeji.

Delay? Maybe. I think it was a turn over .... and not the kind with apples in them!
Anyway the game to me was like watching a cat play with a mouse ... first half it was a typical cat & mouse game ... second half the cat reverts into a killing machine!
Sorry about that to any mouse lovers out there!

It's not just this game, although we were especially bad last night. We rank 305 (of 351 D-1 teams) in percentage of times we bring the ball up the court and commit turnovers:
https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-ba...t/turnover-pct
When you combine that with our poor rebounding (we're 328 of 351) it's amazing we've won as many games as we have this year: https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-ba...ounds-per-game

I know I'll get crushed for this again but I voted for Josh because his total lack of effort for the second game in a row. For a multi year captain he has zero leadership skills. And once again I saw him questioning/making faces/rolling eyes at AG during the game, and I was sitting two rows behind the basket so I got a good look at it. Wondering if he has officially quit on AG, which makes me wonder if he'll be back next year.
Let the crushing begin...

Went with Crutcher. He dribbled and dribbled and dribbled and dribbled and dribbled and dribbled and dribbled and dribbled, mostly without point. And then he went full Crosby. Several plays that would could have been additional turnovers were saved. And he played terrible defense.

Kostas in as few minutes as he's played this year is 3rd on the team in total offensive rebounds.
Take Cunningham out of the equation and it's possible we're one of the worst teams in division one.

Little was expected from Pierce, and nothing has been delivered.
A lot was expected from XW, and rather than deliver something it appears he's actually taking (a net negative on the roster).
Relative to expectations XW is far worse this year.

In his defense ( like he needs it, as he is clearly our best player and we'd have won maybe three games without him), he's the focus of opponents defense. He is dependent on teammates to get him the ball, which they are not very adept at doing, particularly as our guards are poor penetrators. He's forced to play out of position because we don't have a true 5. And he's forced to cover on defense all the opponents that blow by our other players, leaving him vulnerable to added fouls.

His numbers this year have been great and I recognize all of those things...effort has nothing to do with any of that though, and the last two games IMO have not been good in that regard, perhaps why his numbers have also dipped..
