Well, first off, great win. I missed the first half, stuck at work. Made it home just after second half started. Like most of our other games, Flyers aren't as good as they can look sometimes and aren't as bad as they can look other times. It's hard to lose when you shoot 83% from the floor in a half. We put up 59, although gave up 47, compared to 29/26 in the first half. Reminiscent of the VCU game, though just for one half this time.
In the last two games, Jalen Crutcher has 18 assists and 1 turnover. That's pretty incredible for anyone but for a Frosh, it's sensational. He didn't score a ton tonight, but directed the offense very well. And while speaking of PG, Crosby came off the bench, contributing 5 points in 15 minutes, with only 1 TO.
Cunningham continues to get it done, although he had some difficulty getting the shots to fall in the first half. Finished with 21
Trey with another solid game. Good passing, some nice buckets, including that little spin move layup he put in.
Jordan Davis picked it up again tonight after struggling from the floor the past few games. 37 minutes, 7-8 including 4-5 from 3.
DD rebounded to drop in 20 on 5-8 shooting and more importantly only 1 TO.
Even Kostas contributed with 9 minutes of game time and 4 points.
Matej didn't play in second half but got some minutes in first half.
We had no problem with the
Dukes full court press late in the game, leading to multiple dunks/layups, including thundering dunks by Trey and Josh.
Only real complaint was DirecTV losing its mind the last 45 seconds. It decided the game was over, couldn't find the next game, and went into some sort of HAL9000 feedback loop.
Great win, now off to VCU. They will want revenge from the red-headed step child beating they took at the arena.
