Anthony, Billy and John

For almost a decade, it's never failed. Every year, on Nov. 2, Arkansas coach John Pelphrey -- along with Alabama's Anthony Grant -- have reached out to their former boss at Florida. A phone call, an e-mail, a card or text. Just something to remind Donovan how much they care. And how they can relate.

"No staff," Grant says, "has ever experienced what we experienced. What happened with all of us ... I wouldn't wish that on anybody."

well, that was a fun way to start the morning. I lost a child in utero as well, not nearly as late as these men. Awful stuff but there is a unique bond that develops for sure.

I think grant is a great guy from what I have heard. But, I dont remember his players having much Bball ability or a fluid offense

Years ago my wife and I lost a child in much the same way, but not as late term. A hard thing, especially for my wife, I think. There is always the feeling that something, and someone, is missing. The "what if" factor.

There have been a couple of threads on this in the past on here. For anyone that has gone thru it, its a tough, tough thing to handle, but also reach out just a bit, and you'll be amazed how many people have shared the same struggle.
