Message for Zags fans
To the Zags fans who came over to read our board in recent days: don't worry about underestimating the Flyers. Many on this board - myself included - did the same. Potential was clearly there but the matchup against your Bulldogs seemed a bit of a stretch for us this early. In the blink of a second-half eye, though, that potential was realized. In case you're wondering, it's pronounced "Sigh bert".
Great, thrilling, game. Would love it if we could do this on a regular basis with you guys. Your program is a model for what we want to be and what we think we can be. And we love coming out West. Speaking of which, we are aware that Maui has been a "home away from home" for Gonzaga over the years. But you may not realize that Dayton is now 6-1 all-time in this tourney including a Championship in 2003. I was there in 2000 when the Flyers beat UConn & Maryland.
Good luck the rest of the way in Maui and this season. Oh, and for those who predicted a lopsided win: how do you like us now? :-)

Or said differently (quoting from ESPN.COM):
"Gonzaga will play Division II Chaminade in the losers' bracket."

Or to quote Charlie Daniels:
"Come on back, if you ever want to try again."
We'd love to see you guys on the schedule more often!

Isn't Daytona not for another 6 months?

The Silver Swords did not look like a D II team last night! The #1 guy was unbelievable. Imagine if he did not have the knee issues...... What, 31 at half time, and then had to rest....
