We've owned the 2nd half lately, let's see if we can do it again.

Pierre will redeem himself. That first half was uncharacteristic for him.

Pace of the game, our lack of depth, and their unbelievable shooting (even contested shots) is taking its toll.

Scooch is going to have to take things into his own hands a little more in the 2nd half and KD is going to need to provide some offense also. Seems that when we're in these situations and we come out of it, it's a spark from KD that gets us started. KP, needs to do what he usually does, without fouling. Pierre usually is steps it up in the 2nd half anyways so I'm expecting it again.

I don't care if we are gassed. They are 18-22s. Full court press for the next 12 minutes. We are down 16.

They have to take lessons away from this or it will all be for naught. Davidson looks first for the 3 and we've obliged all night long. Our normal effort on D would have made this an interesting game.

They go 7-20 instead of 11-20 from 3 and we go 4-11 instead of 3-11 and the game is 52 to 52 right now. We both had a ton of open 3s. Yes, we turned over the ball too much, etc.
But bottom line is they shot great from 3 and we did not -- that is the difference in the game.

Nah, Davidson has the type of players that other teams don't have. Flyers don't match up well with them, especially when they are hitting their shots the way they are. Most of the other teams in A10 try to play this way against Flyers we will see a lot of blowouts favoring the good guys.

Sibert and D. Davis = 2 for 8 from 3 and I would say we lose. And these were wide open looks, not like they were contested.

This game on Saturday will show me a lot... We play a really good team in Richmond in the Arena on a Saturday Night... Resilience is the word boys and girls.
We were not going 18-0 in the A10 lol... Games like these were bound to happen

Archie is great and our best coach since DD, but I don't understand why we don't full court press down 13 with 6 minutes to go????!?!? What do we have to lose.

WhYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? Pollard should never shoot beyond 10 feet?
The D. Davis foul is a phantom -- rewatched it 3x.

Bench Pierre. Could have easily taken a charge. That was absolutely BS effort.

Take Pierre out, he was the gap help side defense in the pack and did not step in.

We can't play D for a full shot clock...I doubt our ability to press and then play a full shot clock...
Do agree though...would like to come out in a trap.

Don't want to pile on Pierre in the game thread...there is plenty bi-polar play to discuss in the post game comments...frustrating...shades of brilliance...other times he doesn't look like he belongs on the floor...have to agree with dnutz...its effort...not talent.

Wow. Just some bonehead, lazy D. Credit to Davidson, though. They're not just a one-trick pony. And as Bucky said, they're doing it all without their best player.

Agreed trap perhaps with 1-3-1 full-court. Seriously, we are down a ton, only way to win this even though it is 1/1000 is full court press/trap.

If DP had KP's motor, he would be an NBA first round prospect. Unfortunately, he disappears from time to time and often plays LAZY ball (especially on D).

My guess is that fatigue has set in,- 3 tough games in 6 days. They looked gassed at halftime. It's just one game.

Dare I say there are some UD fans, other than CBBF and Glen, that would rather be listening to the State of the Union address than this game on the radio?

Duke lost a home game by 16 to Miami -- Miami went 10-20 from 3; Davidson 11-21. It happens.

Davidson went into operation shutdown with ten minutes left or this could've been a thirty point blowout.

They shot up 14 with 20 seconds left. Did you see Archie do the quick hand shake not even looking at Davidson coach.
A starter (#4) by the way shot it with 21 seconds in game and 15 on shot clock.

Even though it was an obvious charge, I'm glad he flattened that dude at the end. Sent a message.

What doesn't happen - or at least shouldn't happen - is to have 80% of those looks be wide open. Most teams will hit well over 40% when happens. Davidson will hit 50% or better when the looks from 3 are that clean. Archie identified defending the 3 as one of 2 keys to the game before it began (the other being turnovers). They just plain didn't get it done.

unfortunately we still have this issue with winning after an in season ranking comes our way ....
Although I'd say Davidson is much better than the Ill St team from a few years ago, I believe we played pretty much in the same fashion ...
So far I like being ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season rather than during the middle of the season
Wish we had a home and home with them this year ... like to see a reset game after we rest a bit in our place!

Got nothing from Kyle. He never attpted a shot . SS didn't try to score either were they hoping Werli would make up the difference? Seems it put too much pressure on the other guys.

Well, to be fair, he got to sit out 3/4 of the first half with 2 fouls. He had a lot more legs left than the rest of the team.
Davidson has the best offense in the conference, the Flyers don't have an answer for them, not with 7 players. I don't expect this to be the norm going forward.

We are playing 7. Three games in 6 days. You can run a horse to death. I am hoping we have something for Richmond. It is a delicate machine Archie is trying to fine tune.

Flyers advantage was on the interior, however, Pierre played his worst game in recent memory. I don't mind that Scoochie and Davis did not shoot. Way too many many sloppy unforced turnovers and lost two many players for wide open layups and open threes.
