Take that NCAA committee - Flyers going to continue to dance. Sibert's 3 was so pure.

Kyle Davis. His defense on Marks in the last 5 minutes won the game. Yes the refs swallowed their whistles a bit at the end, but that was the right move after calling everything all game.
And by the way, Seth Davis and Wally Szczerbiak opined that the last play was absolutely not a foul. Marks leaned in trying to get the call. Terrible play call and execution by Boise anyway.

It was obviously Pierre, by lightening up the team with his pants down routine.

You might lead the team in scoring, but you can't miss 2 FTs with under 15 left and win the golden marbles. JS all the way.

When you look at the stats of the scoring when Sibert was in the game vs when he wasn't, there really isn't any other choice. If Baby D can get his stroke back(hoping he did on that last 3 he shot), it wouldn't have hurt us quite as much. Let's hope he gets it soon and we won't be sweating it out at the end so much.

Well so far 35 people have voted, and I am the only one giving Schoochie any love. I thought he played a very solid game tonight, good D, 6 assists with only 2 turnovers, 11 points total. Oh, and he only played 40 minutes tonight too.

I struggled with this one, but ultimately I gave it to Jordan Sibert, the Ohio State transfer. +12 on the court, -11 with him off the court. Golden DNutz indeed

The only one besides Sibert that I even thought about was Scoochie. He was a warrior, and he made some shots early in the 2nd half that started our first comeback and kept us in the game. But how can you argue with Sibert's +/- and a game winner?
And BTW - I thought 2 of those 4 fouls on Jordan were

I voted for Sibert for coming back in and contributing every time, especially the 3 that put us ahead. The 3s weren't falling much again and every time somone shot one I cringed. But YIKES! He made it. I was not at the game, but my regular game companions and I were jumping, screaming and hyperventilating at the end just like we do at the arena. I had to sit for a while and calm down before I felt strong enough to drive home.
I was almost giving up when we got down by 9 again late in the game, but the guys came through again. Don't know how they keep coming back. I've never seen such mind over matter. And NO--it was not a foul on KD at the end. He was reaching up with both feet on the floor, not flat, but not moving.
Maybe this win and rabid fan experience will convince the selection committee idiots not to do this ever again. BSU should not have been here either. Both teams deserved more respect. Moving the event to another "neutral" venue is not necessary.
On to Columbus for what I hope will be an almost-home game with lots of fans. If we could dominate the farther-away venues last year, we should be even more visible in Cols.
Go Flyers!

In reality, this was a 9 - 10 match up.
Were it not for the bought-and-paid-for NCAA Selection Committee, it would have been different. I feel bad for the Broncos. They deserved better than this. You guys gave a heck of an effort.

By picking up his 3rd foul of the 1st half, Sibert was one missed 3-pointer away from earning my vote for a shriveled pair of Golden Rollos!

I started in my mind with Scoochie, since he never subbed out in the game. (according to PBP, at least...) I had to remove Kyle Davis for his 2 quick fouls in the beginning of the game.
Wanted to ignore Sibert, though, since he was out for a long time with 3 and 4 fouls, but when he is +15 in only 23:47 of playing time, and stroking that pop-and-shot 3ptr, it sealed the deal for me.

Really think all the player votes and comments above were valid, and JS's landslide vote as well.
But Kyle deserves a special mention for knowing the rule book. He did jump forward on that last shot, BUT he knew enough to get his tip toes on the floor and straighten up and make sure his hands were extended straight up in perfect form to not give the ref a reason to doubt his no-call when Marks jumped into him. 19 out of 20 players lean a hip or have their hands less than straight up and get the ref involved.
Marks on the other hand jumped into Kyle and flailed so badly with the shot he looked like a flop. He should have gone straight up and taken the best shot he could. Notice the no BSU player or staff vehemently objected to the call. More like they were simply distraught over the loss.
Honorable Mention = Kyle Davis

Bob Wehrli had a game saving and very athletic block late in the game, right at the rim, that saved the game. So I gave him my thanks and praise for the grit and hustle. I voted for him for that and the minutes he has given us. He played great defense last night, and filled big minutes when the foul trouble occurred in first half.
Wehrli had a good shooting stroke, and it would be great if we can get him an extra couple of looks from behind the arc. The guy makes 50% from the field, and 48% from three point line, so please set him up for a couple of more three point looks. We need it very badly!
Also, on Pierre and the shorts dropping, he isn't getting enough praise for the pure athleticism he showed in dealing with it...pulling the shorts up, not moving the pivot foot, and brining the ball up court in one motion...incredible. Pierre is the most talented player for UD.

I agree this season Pierre is the most talented, but Pollard just might win the "MOP" in the A10 two years in a row. He will be right on Dyshawns heels in that regard.
