This year's "X" factor
No, I'm not talking about that school down south...
I'm talking about who can take us from good team to great team.
My vote is for Mr. Charles Little.
Will he bring it night in and night out, and have a Negele Knight senior-type season - or will he have a whatever Monty Scott senior-type season?

The "x's" factor.
I cast a vote for our bench. Could be any one of several, but obvious candidates are Lowery and Chris J, but Williams and Fab could be a huge boost also.
We need to have no drop off in intensity and productivity throughout the game from our very talented bench. If we have 2/3 bench players pushing starters for their jobs, we are right where we need to be to excel. Makes everyone better.

As long as it doesn't matter who gets the credit, great things can be accomplished. It could be, and probably will be, a different person each night. As SDF has said the bench plays a prominent role. This is why everyone must be "tuned in" every game. They must be ready mentally to enter the game and do the job. Many times it happens when you least expect it. Every player must be ready to go from tip off. One never knows when opportunity knocks. It will be most interesting to see how the personality of this team evolves.

My vote is for Devon Searcy because...
KH has yet to show he has the stamina to go 30+ mimutes a game.
CL has yet to show he can stay out of foul trouble to play 30+ minutes a game.
JB is out for the year.
Therefor, DS is most likely going to have to contribute 20+ minutes a game, many of them critical minutes. If he is going to struggle or be a liability for that much time every game, we'll have issues, especially against the better competition.

I was already counting on someone from the bench to step up each game (Williams, Johnson, Fab, Lowery).
I believe we all know what to expect from Chris, Marcus, Kurt, and London.
But in my mind... if Charles brings it strong every night for us - we may have that "special" kind of season where we own the A10 and go dancing.

I think its two people. Paul Williams, and Chris Johnson. These guys are going to be major contributors right away. They can both shoot, and they can both play some good defense.

I vote for London. If he can reduce his turnovers (especially the stupid ones that exasperate many of us), hit 65 to 70% on his freebies, play good defense to get our fast break going, and do a decent job setting up his teamates than we are a ncaa team.

Charles is what he is
an up and down player. Wishing for something else is a waste of time. I would be suprised if the pattern changes. a young gun stepping up is more probable. Could be wrong, but history indicates not. Even in the preseason the same traits showed up.
