Alexis Kiehl
Just stumbled across a nice stat. Maybe someone else already posted this but...
Alexis Kiehl is leading the nation in goals scored at 20.

She and Dakota Mills of St. Joe were tied with 18. Alexis and the Dayton Flyers took care of that stat.
St. Joe losing to 7th seeded Dayton didn't keep them out of the NCAA. It was how they lost, 7-0 and 28 shots to 5 for SJU. They have a very young team and will be back.

Thought it funny when the ASN announcer stated that Dayton had the easier way to the championship. We only had to dispose of the number 1 and 2 seeds with GW inbetween along the way. Playing the top two teams in the tournament with a total of 10 goals scored and no points allowed was not an easy task, or rather it was not supposed to be.
The flyers have found their identity and have the mojo, E8 E8 E8 E8
THE University of Dayton Flyers will take down tOSU.

Yeah, I never like when out of area network hosts try to invent story lines. Dayton simply made it LOOK easy. It is almost always easier path for the 1 seed, and boo hoo that they had to travel to #8 in the first round and play the only team on the bracket with a losing in conference record, albeit a little win streak that got them in ( Rhody). After that they played G Mason, a high scoring offense that only showed up sometimes. They featured a few of the most lopsided games in the A10, in both directions. They're probably next worst in the field to Rhody, but happened to match up well with Fordham and scouted them correctly, low scoring and controllable team that they are. Yea, ASN was blowing smoke!
I was thinking about how Dayton probably needed to go 2-0-2 or better down the stretch and they instead went 3-1. It was that survive or die mentality that allowed them to hone their competitiveness while SJU simply peaked too early.
