The Captain Underpants chant during the Duquesne free throw was the best laugh I've had in a while.

The one thing they all need to learn is, waving randomly while the FT shooter is getting ready to shoot usually doesn’t work. One of the best tactics (in my experience) is to have everyone hold perfectly still until just before the shooter starts his release. Then, you make an abrupt movement, all in the same direction, to move the shooter’s background and (hopefully) get him to adjust his release. Of all the “distraction” tactics, that one seems to work the best.

And stop the fake countdown of the shot clock. It just reminds them to look and see the real count.

And stop the airball taunting, since the perpetrator invariably buries one from 42 feet away next time down the court.

Agree with the above two posts. In addition, I wish the Pep Band would discontinue playing the music/cheer in which the students chant " You S**k! No matter how many signs the cheerleaders have with the words, the chant persists. It is old, it sounds stupid and it's not funny or clever. The only way to stop it is for the band to not play it. BTW this is not a criticism of the band.

I was happy to see Dr Willie out on the court encouraging the crowd to cheer on Sat. He has not done it for a long time at least that I have seen. The crowd responds to him. Maybe we had used up all the required commercials and he was able to go with the flow because it was timely helping the come back.
