Colorado (Charleston Classic) Game Thread
The winner more than likely will play top 20 team Baylor in the semi-finals
They beat Wofford 74-59 in their season opener last night.
Potential Starting Lineup:
PG Askia Booker 6'1" 170 SO
SG Sabatino Chen 6'4" 190 SR
SF Spencer Dinwiddie 6'6" 200 SO
PF Andre Roberson 6'7" 210 JR
C Josh Scott 6'10" 215 FR
Will be one heck of a test for this team on Thursday

I know it isn't what people on here want, but it would be kind of funny to see Baylor play Colorado. The two met in the round of 32 in last year's NCAA Tournament. It seems as though that one way or another they end up playing each other just as frequently as they did when both were in the Big Twelve.
Baylor is very good. Isaiah Austin had about 20 pts in 24 minutes against a good Lehigh team before twisting his ankle. He'll be playing in the NBA in about 11 months. So, with him and the fact that their backcourt is very strong, Baylor should have another huge year. They've been to two Elite Eights in three years, and I wouldn't be surprised if they got back there again.
Half of Colorado's roster if freshmen. Don't know too much about them yet. As a whole, though, it's a very good tournament.

Any word on if Price will be back? 3 games in 4 days with not alot of depth at PG is a big concern.

This is what Archie told the DDN:
“He’s day to day,” Miller said. “He’s gotten better every day. Give him another four or five days, and I assume he’ll be feeling a lot better. I would anticipate him being ready at some point in time in the tournament.”

JR and Gav will have a distinct heft advantage in the post. DMO also has 20+ lbs on their SF. If we want to slow it down some we could go with a much bigger lineup
PG: Dillard
SG: Sanford
SF: Oliver
PF: Robinson
C: Gavrilovic

David Jablonski @davidjabs7
Flyer fans appear to outnumber Colorado fans about 8 to 1. Walking around town yesterday, lots of Flyer fans. Very few from any other team.
UDPride @UDPride
Oh yeah! We are in TD Arena kniwn as @UDArena South!! Lets get Flyered up! pic.twitter.com/QMh96PyK
A couple more:
Ryan Thorburn @RyanThorburn
Dayton fans outnumber #CUBuffs fans about 4-to-1 here. #chasclassic
David LaRose @David_LaRose
A lot of Dayton fans so far, a small contingent of #CUBuffs fans but Dayton is well represented 25 minutes until game time #ChasClassic

Hanging in with Dillard on the bench. FLyers rebounding well, but too many missed shots.

Can't complain with a 4 pt lead without Dillard most of the game. Especially when you look at how abused we've been inside.

As least KD will be well-rested for the second half!
KP filled in fairly nicely. He made a few ill-advised passes and had 4 turnovers, but 2-2 from trey, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Good first half effort, especially on defense. I thought when Dillard picked up his second foul UD would be in a lot of trouble, but they hung in there. Price did a good job filling in. He didn't do anything spectacular, but he didn't screw up either.
Also a big eff you to Time Warner for throttling back my bandwidth through out the half. Video quality down to low and I can't really see what's going on anymore.

Yeah if we can get JB and JR more involved offensively, could be a great second half. The good thing is that they both have zero fouls, so can play aggressively on both ends...

Colorado finding it tougher to find shots than us! Pretty solid defense.
Id like to see us build and keep steady 7 point lead. Dont think they can catch us if we can knock down shots

Price with great steal off of fastbreak. Looks very comfortable and capable out there.
Too many turnovers for us as we coughed up the lead

Two straight buckets by Dillard. It would be great for him to take over this game right now.

Need to be smart on the O end...we make runs when we are selective in our shots...
Benson needs to lay off the jumpers and trying to beat his guy off the bounce.
KD needs to continue to get in the paint, but can't leave his feet.
Move the feet on D and stop ball.
We are rebounding well.

Down by six, at 4 minute time out. Still within striking distance, but UD has made things difficult for themselves.

Exxxxactly. Shocka can.be the backup Coach any time.
Second. Love Pierre first time seeing him. Our freshman bigs in Robinson and Scott showing their freshmen status. Tough going underneath, not able to keep the ball or finish much

Now, unfortunately, we need to play like we are down...not very urgent with a minute on the clock down by 8.

How many possessions has Colorado had in the last 10 minutes that they didn't get points on? Almost none.

Disappointing. These are the winnable games that you have to get... Also greatly diminishes our chance for a decent opponent the rest of the tournament.

Definitely spurts of good, but I can't say I liked what I saw down the stretch. Our guys acted tired, sloppy, and some very poor decisions were made.

If you told me before the game started Dillard would sit for virtually the whole first half and UD would go to half time with a lead I wouldn't believe it. If you then said in the second half you told me he would come back and score 10 and UD loses I wouldn't believe that either.

We need Devin Oliver and Kevin Dillard to play at a much, much higher level of performance. As I have said in the past, it is time to move Devin down to the 4 and put a shooter in the 3 spot. A 3 without a shot is an extreme liability.

Agreed, these are the type of games that you have to get. The margin for error for making the tournament is thin, every game matters. There will be other chances though, I wasn't expecting them to win this game.
