Isn't it time for a Blue/Red scrimmage with highly restricted fandom ?
Maybe recorded?

We may need a little perspective... I'm pretty sure the young men on this team want to play a game (even more than us wanting to watch them).
But the young men on this team are taking it a day at a time, knowing it's gonna be an on and off challenge all year. This is just our reality now - the players on last year's team know this better than anyone.
The fans, like the players, should just be appreciative of the work going into trying to make this season work - and be thankful for whatever we can get this year (instead of *****ing about what we don't have).
Have a Happy Thanksgiving weekend, Flyer Nation !!!

As much as I am opposed to giving WSU a home-home, at this point two games this year is two games. Same-same with Miami. Make it happen.

I feel bad for the UD administration people that have to try to navigate thru all this, what a headache and a bunch of work. Last minute cancelations stink.

Just call up anyone within a 150 mile radius and get em in the arena. Or go to their place. Forget about all your scheduling strategies and play some games.

Hi Archie? It's Neil. Good, good, how's Morgan doing? Hey listen, would you guys be interested in getting together later next week if our gig with SMU falls apart next Saturday?...

mike brey sent out a tweet asking for any team to play on like dec 4/5th said they'd even travel.
worth a shot?
still laugh at some of these games taking place yet, OSU/X/UC/UD won't get involved with something. who cares? weird year, lets get weird....makes too much sense i guess.

I'll try again. I just saw on the DDN online that we secretly scrimmaged UC on Wednesday and did the same thing last year.

Yeah, I heard Obi hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to win it just like last year.

Sully mentioned this the other night. I was on my way home and didn't get to hear if he gave any details, but unlike last season's scrimmage, this thing apparently came together at the last minute to give each team an opportunity of "live" action. It truly was a secret "secret" scrimmage.
Coach Brannen worked under Grant at both VCU and Bama and took over for him at Bama when Grant was let go and coached them in the NIT. I wonder if that friendship precludes them wanting to face each other during the regular season.

I hope that once they get the health care workers and most vulnerable the vaccine they add sports to part of the next level. Easy to prioritize as it would keep more of us on a couch at home if we have something to watch... something besides sitting through Tiger King again... Please! I would think they can push the "season" out further into the spring that way. Heck - give us a 128 team tournament after a short season that wraps up by the end of March instead of the beginning.

I think your vaccine priorities are a bit twisted. If we want to make a priority list, lets start with the truck driver who delivers my food and toilet paper to the local store, the lady at the local grocery store who stocks the shelves, the HVAC guy who fixes my broken furnace, the police officer who patrols my neighborhood, and dozens more examples long before I prioritize athletes just so I can sit on my butt and watch them play.

I know there is a lot of talk about availability but my belief is that there will be plenty of people that will pass on getting the vaccine because they either believe they don't need it or that it won't work or it is a government conspiracy to put tracking devices in all of us. I will be at the head of the line whenever given the OK to receive it. With two manufactures whipping this stuff out, I would imagine normal folk will not have to wait forever for it.

Soon to be 4 John! And I agree about the essential workers, Clayton. Also keeps people out of trouble when they don't have to spend extra time looking for needed stuff. And really a fruitless thought, but a lot folks have let up their guards this fall, maybe if they had other distractions they would take less risks... but also pointless to discuss.
Sorry for bringing it up. : /
