Timing Is Everything

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- The timing couldn’t be more impeccable. On Wednesday, Anthony Grant announced his new UD coaching staff. Anthony Solomon, Ricardo Greer, Darren Hertz and James Kane. On Saturday, the AAU spring evaluation period begins and AG and his staff will be fanning out across the country in search of fresh recruits.

Go get ‘em, guys!

Meanwhile, elsewhere in college hoops:

"I was personally sad to lose Tom Crean but I have always watched and respected the job Archie has done as an assistant and then the head coach at Dayton. This league has some of the best coaches in the country and it will be another great addition."

-- Long-form piece on the ’gentrification’ of men’s hoops that includes a profile of former Georgetown commit Tremont Waters. Newly named Flyer assistant coach (and former Georgetown recruiter) Anthony Solomon is no doubt attempting to persuade Waters to consider UD:
