Lots of prider's way off on this. Plenty were certain that he was the real deal. Would have been even worse had he qualified in his first year.

Still, I'd play him every game until he fouls out ( or gets tossed) as he has a lot of potential. No one else on our team has half his upside.

I'm glad we have him. His ceiling is still very high. Just molding clay here....patience.

Still too early to say, big guys take longer develop

Take the case of former top ten pick & Big 12 player of the year Thomas Robinson. 2pts a game as a freshman, 7ppg as a sophomore & explodes as a junior

This is exactly right. Just get him on the court and let him play. It's not like wins and losses truly matter at this point. He should play at least 20 minutes a night unless he fouls out.

Sitting him on the bench does nothing for his development.

So, what kind of message are you sending if he just goes out and plays like an idiot and it doesn't matter, but everyone else gets yanked or sits if they do something stupid?

He plays as much as he decides he plays. He is still extremely limited in what he can do out there, and it shows.

On Anthony Grant's radio show last night Larry asked AG about the availability of playing time as the season progresses and AG basically said there's a lot of PT available for those who earn it and further stated that is why he's going with such a small rotation.

For those unable to decipher 'coach speak' he's saying that not enough players are busting their nuts but if/when they do, rewards await!

If you're still not sure what he's saying, here's a graphic of the type of players we need....

Before we disparage Kostas too much, let's define a "project". To me a project is a guy who has a good skill set, size and the athleticism to play at the D1 level, and willingness to work to get better, but at this time they are inconsistent and only show small flashes of brilliance. No doubt Kostas fits this, and is a keeper.

Matej and Pierce do not at this time. I hope they do by season end, but time is running out.

Anthony has given him chances and he immediately gets into foul trouble just about every game. He has been a real liability on defense, placing burden on his teammates. Kostas has taken himself out of most games.

Game experience will help, but his two biggest weaknesses are bad, bad foot movement and lack of strength. I am not sure you fix those in a game. I'd like to see him play more, but he has to improve his on court performance in order to stay on. Catch 22.

If you play him just to play him, you send a message to the rest of the team that winning is not longer important. Players needed to earn time by their practice habits and in game performance.
