London London London. 3 options on that play and he still chooses the same. Loose drive in the middle to try and make a tough shot.

We need CW to make some plays!
Fouls seem pretty even although free throw attempts are not. Gotta attack the rim.

He doesn't need to see much time today. He has no business guarding Ruoff or any of these guys. We are going to have to use MP at the point, plus he is a shooting threat against the zone.

When is the NCAA going to take some of that obscene billions they make on this tournament and purchase floors that don't require that stupid ice rink sticker at mid-court?

Pleasantly surprised that CBS here in Detroit is sticking with the UD game and not cutting all over the place.
Nice set play to get CW involved.

There is no doubt in my mind now that we match up well with WVU and today we can walk away with a win. Just have to play our game.

i like the idea to knock the cutter down coming off that little wheel pick at the top of the free throw line but thats like the 3rd or 4th foul there. dont wanna send WVU to the line to much. bailing out the good defense

I hate that I have to say this every single game but why is Kurt shooting the ball. Please just catch it and pass it to someone else Kurt. Him shooting has been the same as a turnover lately.

The pace is favoring us. Free throws I think will be the difference.

What is KH about 1 for his last 20 SHOTS!
Is Searcy Hurt? I thought I saw him limping earlier?

Ugh, we never score at the half it seems. But elsewise, zero complaints. Loved that half. One down, one to go!

Oh boy. Well we looked ok. Patient at least with good defense. Convert at the rim and we're winning by 3-4 more buckets.

Let's be honest here, boys and girls: Zif I would have told you yesterday we'd be up on WVU by 5 at the half, you're dam right that you would have taken it!

Good first half. How many easy one did we miss? We have to learn to finish at the hoop! I don't believe we have anyone in foul trouble. Things looking good. Have to continue the defense and rebounding!

very very important the we come out strong first 5-6 minutes of 2nd half. looking at huggins body language we have him frustrated but you can tell the WVU players probably underestimated us a bit. i'm sure he'll be tearing heads off in the locker room. gotta make sure we keep up the intensity on defense!

Great first half.
Up 5 is nice considering we only got to the line 3 times (is that a good thing?)
And MJ, KH, and LW all missed lay-ups. WV is lucky we're letting them hang around.

Searcy played a little and looked okay even though he was limping a bit coming off the court. I would rather see him in the game than KH.
I don't think LF and ST are good enough defenders to see much action in this game. ST did okay but looked scared on both ends

Glad to be up, like the fact we are controlling, but we should be up by twice that number if we could capitalize.
Did you see the half time graphic? Had our record as 26 -- 11.

Past games it's if they make their FT's they have a more comfortable lead, today it's if the can hit their lay-ups they've got a more comfortable lead.

We've got to be ready for the WVU ambush coming out of the half. The best way for us to do that is to come out aggressive. Guards in particular. CW play exactly the way you are playing, stay out of trouble, play clean up and convert on the bunnies. KH don't even think about shooting the ball ever again, unless you are all along under the basket with nobody within half a court. We need some more bench ... CJ, PW, MP have to be the difference for us. Marcus get your head together ... we need you now!

This is just a guess, but what I see is Huelsman making the correct defensive switch and lower blocks coverage 90% of the time. He often shows just enough to discourage a pass or penetration and then jumps back to his man. I havn't seen enough of DS to know for sure whether he has the same instincts.
Huelsman intuitively seals the baseline very well.

If Thomas needs to give Warren a rest it has to coincide with TV timeouts--30 seconds before the start of one and then the full 2 minute TV timeout

Solid first half!! I'm pleased with our effort so far. WVU seems to be getting frustrated and out of sync, but I'm worried about them coming out hot in the second half. I don't think they can play that bad again, we're gonna have to come back out firing on all cylinders as well if we want to win. Someone is gonna have to step up and hit some big shots. I'm worried about us coming out and going into an offensive drought or something.
