Perfect Day
* Fellow 1990 UD grad/groomsman arrives at 1:30.
* Cheer for Villanova against Georgetown at 2pm. Moderation starts.
* 4:30 Flanagan's / Cheer for Fordham over GW. They pulled one out for us last year to allow us to back into the A10 tourney. Who did we lose to - GW? Coincidence. I think not. Pregame warm up starts.
6:15 Head to Arena. I like to be in my seat for the tip.
7:00 Gametime.
9:00 Flight Deck/Kramers
*Request for Timothy's denied by our spouses. Celebration starts.
Have we become that predictable?
Perfect day!

Sounds like a great plan. Enjoy.
Sorry to detour the thread but can anyone tell me how and when Tim's changed from what it was in the 70's to what it is today?

Don't count your beers before their poured. Everyone seems to be treating this game as a gimme. Not good.

Good point, but I celebrate every game I go to win or lose. I'm just happier when they win.

The players haven't forgotten that they lost to Richmond and fans shouldn't either. UD had 14 turnovers versus 6 for richmond and gave up 12 offensive rebouds. But, the biggest stat is that richmond hit 32 of 35 free throws. It is pretty obvious what needs to be fixed fromt he previous game
Pierre was the only player for ud to break into double figures

Fans can. As long as Archie,DMO and company aren't, thats what matters. I think DMO has it in perspective now.
DMO is going down in Flyer Lore. Mark it down.
The best is yet to come.

I still say the officials took that game away from us. Yes, we had a chance to win and choked it away in the last four minutes, BUT we totally dominated the first half and the officials kept Richmond in the game. We should have been ahead by double digits at halftime. Then in the second half we were in foul trouble and seemed afraid to be aggressive for fear of fouling. And, of course, Richmond picked that game to hit 91% from the line. Let's take them out early tonight!!!

I went to Kramer's for the first time in almost 50 years before the LaSalle game. The place has not change a bit ........ still has those big walk in coolers behind the bar ...except they no longer serve 3.2 beer...

Ahhh, Kramer's. Fifty years later and the parking lot looks pretty much the same. And the big coolers behind the bar too....nothing has changed.
It's really Dayton in Back to the Future.

Being in your seat for tip is important, but I suggest arriving early to be in your seat for Senior Day activities.

We usually leave 1 hr before game time (20 min drive), but today are leaving 20 mins earlier than that so as not to miss any of the ceremonies. Also I think there will be a larger crowd, possibly a sell-out with walk-ups. After this game I will be in Arena withdrawal till next season, lol. Who knows? Maybe we will play in the First Four.

Most important game of the year!
Beating Richmond tonight gives us a shot at securing a Dance ticket with a first round win in tournament play.
My prognosis at the start of the season was 24 wins secures a bid regardless of when or how games were won. The way the Flyers closed this season 23 should do it.

If you can't make it to Tim's, you could buy a quart of beer and find a sewer to stroll in.
I tended bar there when Mr. Colgan took over from the Rubicon.
Eventually, Mr. Colgan's son Tim inherited the place and it started to really rock in the mid sixties. There were tables and chairs and mobs from 8 pm till 2 am most nights. Kramer's had more class, but Tim's had the pizzazz!
There were some great regulars like "Captain, the Governor, Salute and a few others that added color.
I had an opportunity to visit 4 years ago. Alas poor Tim's I knew thee well.
