No Cattran?

Barnes and Siebenaller to compete at this weekend's regional in Louisville. Cattran - per daytonflyers.com - "unable to participate".

Anyone know why? There were 25 declared athletes for her event - she is the only one of the 25 not competing. Doesn't sound like an injury.

Competition Tough at Louisville

Flyers have tough NCAA regional meet -

Siebenaller can't clear the opening height of 12' and ends up with a NH (no height) - winner went 14' 1 3/4"

Barnes throws a respectable (for her) 174' 10" in the hammer for 20th out of 30 competitors - winner threw 219' 1"

Had Cattran competed she would have had to run an outdoor PR under 2:07.46 to move to 8 person finals of the 800 meters. Her outdoor PR is 2:08 and change.

UDBerg09 will become famous soon enough
I was there and Siebenaller definitely had a tough go of it, but she wasn't the only person to not clear the opening height. As a freshman, it's still incredible what she's been able to accomplish.

Mallory did pretty well from what I could tell, but there was some unreal competition down there. The relay teams were unbelievable. I think the announcer said that the LSU 4x100 squad was the world record holder.

Anyway, had Ashley been at full-strength, I'm positive she would've been in that top-eight. But I guess we'll just have to wait until next year to see what she's really capable of... still an amazing season for the team.
