3x3u Tourney Schedule with our Josh Cunningham

Friday, April 5th Josh Cunningham will be representing UD and the A10 in the 3x3u National Championship tournament.

3x3u Schedule

The A10 will play the American Conference at 3:20 pm ET and follow up with a game against the NEC at 6:50 pm ET.

Josh will be joined by Pookie Powell and Javon Bess (both I was was very impressed with). Hopefully, we can find some instant chemistry and make a run!

The times on the schedule appear to be from the Central time zone. So Josh will be playing at 4:20 Eastern.

Fought back to lose by one. Should have established Cunningham in the post early instead of jacking up 3s and getting down 10

I don't know if they track stats - but the 3% percentage prior to the last couple of minutes had to be like 10%.

The tough part about posting up Josh is the shot clock. It's only 12 seconds and it starts as soon as the other team scores. You then have to grab the ball - clear it - and then reestablish the post.

If only Isabell had shot like that in the A10 tourney...

I watched most of it and noticed A10 was slow in transition. I’ve seen these tournaments live and the teams that transition to immediate offense after securing a rebound win a high percentage of the time. If you haven’t played a lot of formal 3x3 games (versus just pick up games) it takes a couple games to get it. A10 seemed to be subbing more which makes it harder to get in that groove.

All that aside, I thought Josh did well.

Josh played really well the 2nd game. Bess did too. Isabell and Powell not so much. Isabell missed at least 4 layups and then didn't play defense while his man drains a 3 (2pter in 3 on 3).

Came back for the 2nd game. NEC couldn't miss. Josh played well. Pretty sure they are eliminated from making layoffs Sunday. One more game of pool play tomorrow.
