I knew CW was going to try and block that and pick up the foul. Sometimes you have to know you are out of position and not pick up the foul.

Was away from the house, just turned it on TV, was following on my phone before. Still hurts to see all those FTs bounce out, but the toughness they are showing everywhere else on the court makes me not want to throw something through the TV.
Let's close it out.

He's shooting those FT's very, very flat. I bet you more of them would go in if he put more arc on his free throws.

mickey did a good job at the point, but his shooting was poor. 1-7 from the field and 1-9 from the line.

We need to figure out the FT deal because we would have blown this game wide open if we would have hit 70% from the line..
Great job on the boards.
OK, anybody want to say we aren't in the dance, now?

48.6% from the line.
A win is a win, but this one should not have been close.
Make even 65% from the line and we cruise to an easy win.

Chris Johnson has 10 pts and 9 rebounds in 14 minutes, Fab has 11 points and 4 rebounds in 14 minutes and Kurt Stiffman plays 24 minutes. I guess those two are not doing the little things yet.

Kurt is GOING to be the difference in the NCAA. He will make a couple of those and it is going to take the others upwards and onwards.

If BG lets these guys out of the gym before 1AM (after an extended FT session) I'll be disappointed. Honestly, most of these guys don't seem to have great form at the line. Perfect example is Marcus and the way he grips from the side of the ball. I'm all for whatever works. But at some point you need to return to some fundamentals. Let Brian Roberts or Damon Goodwin teach a one-day camp over the summer or something.
Happy to take the win. But this FT craziness will cause us to lose a game real soon. Hope it's in the A10 Tourney and not the Big Dance.

Nice. Dancing. Can now relax on Selection Sunday.
Now 26-6, into the semis of the A-10.
Perhaps now, going forward, we could post two Game Threads:
(1) those that actually post insightful BASKETBALL comments
(2) Call it "The Bashers Game Thread" -- you guys will have a blast
outdoing each other!
Well done tonight Flyers, well done. Grinders...

Afternoon session attendance, from ESPN.com's Temple-Saint Joseph box score: 4,837. The evening attendance isn't in either of the evening box scores, yet.
Man, there are probably high schools that would outdraw that number.

4,837 has to be tickets sold. I saw the afternoon on TV and read a couple sources that said there were 1000 people there at most.

ACC nothing to brag about
At the Maryland game it looked like 90% of the seats were empty, and that's the ACC in Atlanta.

Think of it like this....Most of the people there seemed to be UD fans...whose students are 700 miles away, and whose alum probably all have jobs on a Thursday in March.
I bet there will be even more UD'ers there tomorrow, but you can't expect too many students to make the trek....Blame it on the A-10 if anyone....
And....this is no time to kvetch for god's sake. We won and are moving on to the semi's.

This is what I mean. Just get to the dance. The rest is done on the floor. I, for one, am glad we dont have to talk about RPI, SOS, seedings, Bracketologists, polls, etc. in terms of the selection.
