It appeared to be more "face-to-face" rather than "head-to-head." It looked like he took a shot to the nose.

Cooke has really taken the defensive role seriously this season. Without his defense, we would be staring at several more losses.

They're all parts of the head. Looks like he's got a cut on his right cheekbone near his eye.

John Crosby is the player of the game! I think he deserved it...played the best game of his career.

Pollard keeps his great game going. Does not pass it upcourt to the open guy and then misses the two free throws.

Looks like Darrell got chewed out pretty good the last time he came out. Bad shooting night for him. He needs to keep his head up.

Game over...not a bad win against a streaky-shooting team. 83-70!

Okay, a win. But let me add that when KP got that last rebound, he should have outletted it but he decided he wanted to shoot FTs. Even though he's improved this year, I'd still rather have anyone else on the floor shooting them than him, and he should too.

Mason can score some points and rebound, but they are terrible on D.

Crosby with 12 points on 4-5 and 3-3 on threes, with 5 rebounds and 0 turnovers. Sort of see why Archie is sticking with this kid.

Two straight DNP (coach's decision) for Sam Miller, right? He's definitely the loser in Cunningham's return, it seems.

He'd be buried deeper on the bench than Alex Gavrilovic if Big Steve were still with us. But I do have a feeling he's going to turn into a very good player for us next year.

LOL, I thought X-Man played a great game, he was saddled though having to be on the court at same time as Scooch, Pollard and DD.

0-1 3FG
2-6 FT
0 OffReb
6 DefReb
0 assists
2 Turnovers

Yeah, KP was bad. Real bad. But those back to back turnovers by SS in the first half really got my blood pressure up and then to have his backup be the star of the game, I have to give some of the fault to him. What was DD's attemps and misses tonight? He better start practicing hitting that corner shot because that's the only thing they gave him that was open.

Darrell 0-5 3FG 1-2 FT.
He had an off night shooting but did have 4 assists and 0 turnovers so I'm not going to fault him too much for an off night shooting.
Scoochie only had 1 turnover. My guess is the 2nd one you were thinking of was the pass ahead on the break that Kendall didn't catch. Scoochie probably shouldn't have thrown it but Kendall really should have caught it. He was also 5-8 from the field and was 2-4 on 3's.

He had a very lazy pass intercepted and then on the next play he drove the baseline, got caught in no-man's land and turned it over. Now, they might have called it a blocked shot, but it sure counted as a turnover to me.
Heck, now that I think about it, did #11 and #15 trade jerseys before the game?

Had the same thought but wondered if it could be the fact that we really need to ensure that JC is prepared for next year. In any case, I am getting much more comfortable with his development.

Turnovers:
GMU - 17, Dayton - 5
Steals:
GMU - 2, Dayton - 8
Assists:
GMU - 13, Dayton - 17
Blocks:
GMU - 1, Dayton - 9
Dayton shot the ball better from the three, from the field, and from the line.
I can live with the -9 rebounding.

Yep. I'll certainly give GM credit but it seemed at least a couple of those boards they got bounced far off the rim on their own missed 3's which happens and then UD really took/had several bad shots/possessions in that first half off both quick shots and guys trying to go 1 on 5 which does not allow your teammates to crash the boards quite as hard and even get to the rebound as they're still in the midst of running in the flow of the offense. Take 5-6 of those really bad possessions away and they played a fantastic overall game.

And when the second team went out with about 6 minutes to go, we were only down one rebound. Eight of those Nine came in frantic catch up time, when our first team relaxed.

Well, I guess the reason why Joey has been omitted has been disclosed now. All of a sudden he's on the roster as a junior now since he's coming back next year.
