Oliver is one of those undersized, scrappy post players who is tough on the glass and adept at scoring inside. You also have to respect his range because he's their second-best three point shooter on the year.

Second best three point shooter? Uhm. No.

This preview pays Dayton respect and our play in Maui deserves that. T
his should be a good game and I hope our depth will pay dividends in the third game in three days.
Would love to come out of Maui with two wins.

Not sure how they figured that. His 4/4 performance added to the previous 1/9 gives him 5/13 on the year. Good for 4th in 3pt% and 3rd in 3-pointers made.

Has Cal announced whether Soloman is playing? What is typical timeframe for a corneal abrasion to heal?

I'm interested to see how this team bounces back after the heart breaker last night. Do they play w/ the same fire/passion or do they come out sluggish regretting the missed opportunity? The best of UD's offense this year is the slashing abilities of Vee, Sibert, Pierre & Oliver. Baylor was a bad matchup in that regard as they had a lot of size and athleticism down low to stop the dribble drive. Cal doesn't appear to be on that level. Will they attack the rim and come up with another win?
FWIW, rpiforecast, which uses Sagrin's rating to predict the outcomes of future games has Cal finishes the year in the top 50 (UD currently comes in right around 50). Cal has a road game at Creighton, but outside of Mauii their OOC schedule is terrible. They're going to rack up a lot of wins OOC and they should do well in conference play, a top 50 finish wouldn't surprise me in the least for the Bears. Same site predicts Syracuse ends up around 31. Not a huge difference. Syracuse has more "brand name" appeal, but rpi wise, it may not be a huge difference. To be honest, something feels "off" about this year's Syracuse squad, I'm not convinced they finish top 50, but we'll shall see.
At any rate, this is a quality opponent and would be a huge win for UD. Its also a rare chance to impress on national TV for members of the selection comittee to watch and get an "eye test" for as well as the national pundits who often shape the conversation. I know I'll be extremely happy with a win tonight and this 4 game stretch. A win tonight and they'll probably be picking up votes in the top 25 next week.

Appreciate the link. If anonymous fans on a message board can be believed, "sources inside the program say Solomon is doubtful."
