We can only wish Siebert was a freshman, but nice to see at any rate.

These things **** me off. How can they rank Gonzaga higher than the Flyers. It is not as though Gonzaga has any other wins that would make one rank them higher than a team that just beat them.

These things are based on past performance this early in the year. They aren't willing to turn the whole thing over because of one loss. They had the Zags high and it will take some time to shake them out if they deserve to be dumped, like if they lose to Chaminade. The Flyers need to erase the preseason NIT bubble team rating, which they just did and probably will be out of the discussion pretty quickly if they loose the next two. Anything else in Maui, should keep them on the radar. Regardless, there are still some good opportunities on the schedule after Maui.
Huge win for the Flyers. Hopefully they can keep it up tonight!

Because most of the voters did not consider last night's game in their voting. All the voters who picked the Flyers picked them ahead of Gonzaga. If UD beats Baylor and/or Syracuse and stays close in any loss, they should be ranked next week.

the other school
Did anyone notice that the other school (aka "Thugs") got 3 votes to Flyers 13 votes? That must sting down there.

I understand but it still ****es me off. After 5 games throw out the preseason ranking. If team A has not beat anyone of significance and team B beats team A and team B is undefeated, team B should be ranked higher than team A. Not saying team B should be top 25, just ranked higher than team A.
I agree - Huge win for the Flyers. Let's add another one tonight

There is NO WAY that voters were picking UD w/out the Gonzaga game. You don't go from ZERO votes to ranked by beating IPFW, 2 St. Francis', and a mid-level at best ACC team in Georgia Tech.
Great win but I wonder if a loss to BU will completely drop them out again. The same goes for the daily Top26 on cbssportsline.

The voters took it into account. Otherwise, why did Gonzaga drop 6 spots and includes the comment about "not going as planned" in losing to Dayton. The updating rankings were after, and thus include, the Flyers win over the Ziggy Zaggies.

I didn't say none of them took it into account. I said some did not. The game ended at almost 2:30 ET and the poll was posted at 12:00. I am sure some voters sent their votes in before going home Monday night.
Example:
Voter #1 Elena Berger moved Gonzaga from #13 to #9. Obvioulsy did not take the UD game into consideration.
Understood??
