Interesting that Staten has not made a 3pt shot in two seasons. But it looks like Huggins has him running the team in an up-tempo that Huggs craved for several years now. Juwan never would have worked out at Dayton because he just was too immature.
Jesse Berry is a CAREER 39% shooter and has never shot over 40% in any one season, and who also has never seen shot he didn't like.
Henton appears all along to be the biggest recruiting miss, but Brandon Spearman would have really helped us also because of his defensive potential and rounded game. Plus he was already in-house and productive.
The rest? meh.

I watched the Iowa St/BYU game and it was as expected, fast paced and exciting. ISU won because BYU took a lot of bad shots in the 8 minutes of the game.
BTW, Gibson never got off the bench. When I saw him in HS I was not overly impressed. He just was not athletic enough. Good size, decent skills, no athleticism.

Agreed about Spearman. He was improving fast near the end of his time at UD, and could have been a valuable player for UD had he not gotten himself caught up with Staten and left.

Spearman is going to school in Hawaii. I'm sure he feels just fine about it.
Henton sure can play, but he also apparently beat up his girlfriend this spring, so I'm not losing any sleep on that one either.

I saw Spearmen a couple times last year and again last weekend on TV. I think BG had picked him to be a defensive specialist, but at Hawaii he appears (based on all of 3 games) to be a 3 chucker..... He camps out at the line and pretty much throws it up at will. He does occasionally drives to the hoop. Did not see anything impressive about his "D"....

Henton is really the main one that "got away". Still a tweener with his size, though he can score in bunches at times. Has an interesting mix of inside (in lane) and outside game.
Berry maybe... but as SDF said, not a quality percentage shooter.

Charges were dropped, not saying that something didn't happen but your post was irresponsible. I'm sure your feelings on the incident would be innocent until proven guilty if he ended up at UD though.

Apparently, the word you are looking for is "allegedly".
Something about equal protection under the law, due process . . . you know, all that good stuff: the presumption of innocence.
Good to know you're sleeping well, though.

Isaiah Cousins was a recruit that chose Oklahoma. He's the starting PG. He had 15 points against MSU yesterday.

I'm thinking someone on the team wouldn't be here today because Henton would have taken their scholarship. Possibly Gavs? Henton would have had a very good Freshman year to establish his rep. Likely one of our stars today would not have gotten the minutes to shine like they have. Very possibly Pierre. Possibly Oliver. Henton's presence would have triggered some chain of events on the roster, but it's really impossible to assess how far reaching that would be--good or bad. Too many moving parts.

Best guess if Henton were here, Pierre and/or Sibert and/or Oliver would no be. Too many moving parts to know. But something would be different. Recruiting needs and targets would have been different.

Who was the recruit that gave UD a verbal, then Archie backed off and got Khair? Seemed to me he backed of St. John's previously.
Was that cousins?
Remind me.

Last time I checked, I am not a court of law, so I am not required to give anyone the presumption of innocence. I can pass judgment freely against others in the court of personal opinion, as you have done against me.

Just because you are not required to give anyone the presumption of innocence and are certainly free to judge other as you choose, doesn't make it right...
Assume for a moment that you dropped off a 15 yr old (troubled) babysitter after a nice date with your wife, and the next day the police are knocking at your door after this girl accused you of an inappropriate act--completely a false accusation. Would you want me to "pass judgement freely" on you? According to you, the "court of personal opinion" (read lynch mob) is quite OK to pass judgement...

This post garnered this negative rep (posted by anonymous):

Well, the answer is yes - and no.

Another name from the past:
Larry Nance Jr. He's a junior at Wyoming. I can't recall the details, I know his sister played here and his Dad would attend most of the games when she was playing. IIRC, archie recruited him a big w/ the Percy Gibson - Dunkin Donuts meeting didn't work out, can't recall if we actually offered or not. Anyways, he's averaging about 12 & 9 thru the early portion of this season after averaging about 10 & 5 last year at the PF slot.
