NIT Prediction
I don't pretend to be someone that sees the future, but this is sure to happen...
Round 1: First Four keeps us from playing at home so we travel several miles over to the Nutter Center where we take over the Nut House and pummel the Raiders.
Round 2: We travel to Bloomington to take on Archie and the ugliest warm-up pants ever designed.
The crowd is about 25-30% Flyer Faithful and as the Flyers pull away with less than 2:00 to go, the UD faithful start a loud, slow, melodic chant of "Ar-chee ... Ar-chee" (Think chants to Darryl Strawberry back in the day.)
Round 3: We travel to Cincy and take on the Mouseketeers and get the first win at their place since the Revolutionary War. (Many tears of pure joy are shed on this day.)
NIT Final Four
Onto MSG and New York where we take on the Buckeyes. Tough game for 30+ minutes, then Obi wipes away the Bucks like a gnat on his shoulder.
NIT Championship Game:
Rematch with the Billikens.
St. Louis shoots a pathetic 17% from the field but still wins comfortably with 37 offensive rebounds.

Sorry, but I think you derailed your prediction from the get-go. We’re not going to face Wright State in the opener because we won’t be a 1-seed. We stand a better chance of being a 5 or 6 seed, and having to go on the road to face the Hosers or the Mouseketeers right out of the gate. That said, if we’re a 4 or a 5 and we win the first game, we could face the Raiders in Round 2 if they upset the 1-Seed.

Loser of game today gets in ahead of us. Or, would they dare allow three A 10 teams in. Right now the Flyers don’t have the eye test going for them.

St Louis probably would get in at 22-13. Not sure about St Bonnie. They would only be 18-16.

No way. The committee pretty much goes by NET ranking. Both SLU and Bona are way down the list.

Currently Last Four IN (NIT)
Dayton
Providence
Witchita State
San Francisco
It will be closer than you would think. 1 NIT bid stealer left
Georgia State vs. UT Arlington (GaST - 4)
And I agree - The loser of the SLU and SBU would be a potential bid stealer. I will reluctantly cheer for SLU to win today. we beat SBU head to head at their place.
Based on
https://www.dratings.com/predictor/bracketology/
I am going to predict that we are playing at Xavier 6 seed verses 3 seed. We will be one of the last 3 "at-large" NIT teams selected.
WSU is heading to Indiana.

I agree, but at 22-12 and conf tourney runner up - they could sneak in. As I said I don't think it matters much to the Flyers. There have been 4 A10 teams in the NIT before. Assuming this site is fairly accurate - we will be a 5 or 6 seed and one of the last 4 selected (unless UT Arlington wins - then last 3).
Once the committee starts looking at regional matachups (which they do for the NIT) we will be playing Xavier at Xavier on Tuesday. 5 seed or 6 seed - they will move us. It is possible that we could be pitted against Indiana as well. No chance that we play WSU - Both teams are on the bottom of the bracket unless this site is just a bad predictor, but it looks reasonable to me.
The NIT is much more selective than it used to be. 36 At Large picks in the NCAA and 20-21 NIT picks (currently 11 conf champions - could be 12 if UT Alrington wins).
One other possibility - Best possible outcome - go up to Toledo for a 1st round game. Better chance for road win.

I am going to predict that the NIT "committee" bends the seeding so that UD plays IU in the first round and the winner of X versus "some sacrificial lamb" in the second round. They need to build hype and viewership. It's all about the Benjamin's!

Personally, I think it is very sad that we are worrying about getting into the NIT and, if so, where would we be seeded.
I was at UD when we won the NIT in 1968 beating Jo Jo White and Kansas. It was small consolation considering where we thought we would be after losing the finals to UCLA the year before. But we went into the NIT on a 14 game win streak and proved something by winning.
Now we are stumbling into a possible NIT berth. I hope that playing in the NIT this year would tell us something about our team for next year but we are still the same 7 deep roster. But a point guard is not going to show up now. Maybe it is one last chance for AG to light a fire until our younger players to prove what they can do and that they want to be a UD as part of a program that I have high hopes for again.

I remember the start to that 67-68 year. Started out ranked in the top 10, had a losing record throught the first portion of the year, caught fire and won the NIT. Somewhat similar to the 61-62 squad my senior year. We started out 13-6, natives were restless. didn't lose another game all year. Blackburn just wouldn't go to the NCAA's after getting jobbed at Illinois in his only appearance in the Dance.

not worried one bit about st. Boni but if st. Louis loses they could easily steal an nit bid. 22 wins plus they beat us twice.

The last three at-large bids (according to the above site) and their NET:
Providence 70
San Francisco 74
Wichita State 83
Based on the NET (69) we should be safely in.
