students all over #30?
Just wandering what this guy did. I'm assuming he must have done something maybe at the students end warming up for the second half.We all know the student section doesn't miss much just wondering what the cause was for him to get booed every time he touched the ball the 2nd half?Found it quite entertaining by the way.

Best part was the non-students picking up on the booing...just because.
30 was a head case the entire second half.

George told us
On Flyer Feedback last night George said that #30 was talkin' trash and then George said "he (with his hand)showed us we were #1 in a not so nice way". Let that be a lesson to all players coming in to the arena. You flip the students the bird, they taunt you endlessly. I personally thought what the students were doing was hilarious.

I'm pretty sure he offered the students an obscene gesture sometime after the first half.
I am almost positve there was a stretch where Marcus Neal had 3-4 turnovers in a row along with taking several bad shots. At one point in the second half, he was waving off his teammates because it looked like he didn't want the ball anymore.

I really thought that was part of the what caused Dayton to push the lead to 20. It was almost like the DSU players didn't want to pass him the ball.
I was the person who called in last night and asked the question. 1st time on Flyer Feedback!!!
Pushing the Lead to 20 w/o CW or MJ scoring was really encouraging and impressive.

My son called me after the game last night to tell me about the game and told me that one of the Delaware St players flipped the bird to the students. Bad move.

Loved the students' cheer variations after the DSU coach sat him for a stretch:
"Where is Marcus?"
"Still No Marcus!"
"We want Marcus"
As the game came to a close, I was a little disappointed they didn't say
"Goodbye Marcus!"

The best part about that was when he transferred to Charlotte, the first time he touched the ball with the 49ers he heard "AIIIIRBALL!" again and struggled again!

Great post cbusflyer12. I missed your comment on Flyer Feedback re UD increasing the lead to 20 w/o contributions from CW or MJ. IIRC there were 3 freshmen in the game during this time. This is encouraging and another sign that the freshmen are improving each game.

One of my favorite moments in Red Scare history. Just awesome. I bet he pooped himself when that happened.

Oh I loved doing it, especially because the game was safe. Had the game been closer, it may have worried me and reminding me of Dustin Hellenga.

When they started that one for the first time, I was watching him on the bench. He turned to a teammate and it looked like he laughed like "Really? They're still going?" Maybe a little grudging respect for the tenacity of the student section.

I'll always remember being in the arena as a kid when someone on the opposing team, think it may have been Butler? was falling out of bounds and threw the ball hard into the face of a UD player. This was in the Negel Night days.
The student section had the A-Hole chant going the entire game when the guy touched the ball. I remember wanting to join in but my dad wouldn't let me.
