Dayton vs Mercer.

This is going to be a hard fought game, and if we want to win it we NEED TO REBOUND BETTER! We have scorers MJ, CW, CL, CJ, even RL. I think if we Win this early in the year against a team that is getting some nice attention for beating Alabama and Auburn on there own courts. So when the UD game ends and there all looking at scores and they see that Dayton beat Mercer, oh lets say 64-57, people then will be like, Dayton can play.

Our scoring won't come in the half court, it will come from causing TO's because of our D.

Keeping them off the O boards translates into transition, which is where we excel...versus walking it up the court for a set.

Mercer is one of those teams that can get ya. We'll be fine.

No one is suddenly going to say "Dayton can play" if we beat Mercer.

Agree. Nobody is going to be impressed by a win against Mercer.

We will know more about Mercer after their game tomorrow. If they beat GTech, then I think a lot of people will be talking about them. They are getting a couple of votes in this weeks rankings.

First thing first for the Flyers though - B-Cookman. Lots of things for our guys to be working on.

OT vs GTech...wow. Mercer is putting together quite a resume. "Dayton can play"? - I'm not sure what that means, but my guess is that it means that people would be impressed with a Dayton win. Anyone that can read basketball scores knows that Mercer has jumped out to a great start, and so I would agree that a win over them would be a feather in our cap. Whatever that means.

I disagree. Will people be proclaiming us world-beaters or one of the best teams in the country? No, of course not. But people have to have taken notice of Mercer's solid start (they got 3 votes in the AP last week, so at least a few people have noticed them), and a win over them has to look good to some. Starting out 4-0 with two blowouts and a win over a team that knocked off Alabama, Auburn, and almost beat GTech isn't a bad start, and some will start taking notice.
