Golden Royal Rountable - GMason
The King made an appearance at his Arena this evening and his Flyers responded appropriately. Rumors of this afternoons Roundtable lunch at Milano's must have infiltrated the locker room because my team played with defensive energy and passion that can only be described as 'Royal'.
Who was the Goldenest of all the Flyers tonite? We'll know in 48 hours...
VOTE!
Go Flyers!!

All I know is that Sam Miller played a better game than KP and he didn't even play.

I went for Crosby. He's received (and deserved) a lot of criticism this year, but tonight he did a very commendable job in relief of Scoochie. Much improved ballhandling, near-flawless shooting, and no one else who played any better on a night when a number of guys played well.

Who would ever believe that I would vote Cooke and Crosby in back to back games? I never thought it would happen, but it did.

Crosby has my vote. Sometimes people vote for someone just because "we did not expect him to do well, even though he really did not have the best game." Sort of like Cunningham last game. I am voting for Crosby, because he had the best game. As someone pointed out, when he was in we went to a 20 point lead. And to get 5 rebounds in 12 minutes against those rebounders... ouch.
Wait till he starts making those layups and close in jumpers, and that will come. The game has finally slowed for him, and he is faster than almost anyone on the floor.

And, as so many on this board have stated, "In Archie I trust".
Now, once Sam figures it out, this'll be one he!! of a Senior class in 2019. And notice that I said "once" he does, not "if" he does. He just needs to listen to his coaches and work his @$$ off.

NCAA at-large chances looking pretty decent. GO FLYERS!

X-Man for me. If Crosby hits both free throws instead of one i'd vote for him.
On a side note, its awesome he hit some shots and gained some confidence heading into Friday. This game is so huuuuuge for our at-large chances. Bucky and Larry even said Crosby was wearing a huge smile. Thats good. We're gonna need 8-10 serviceable minutes from him Friday

I think this was two solid game for John. In the previous game, he gave us lots of first half minutes and gave Scoochie a good rest in the second half while we slightly improved our lead. In this one, he was Grrrrrrrrrreat (to quote Tony).

I had to vote for X. It was great to see us swatting shots away. Typically it's someone like Tillman or Hassan Martin swatting our shots.

Crosby's 3's were totally unexpected, totally needed to keep momentum, and anyone who claims they did not say "no", well your wooden nose is growing longer. The "no" Crosby chant was heard throughout our section.
Bless his heart. He will recall this game throughout the summer.

Crosby lead group...KD, Mikesell, Cunningham...they all played extremely well together. I'd like to see that group together more often. That tipout rebound by Mikesell was super slick and fast thinking on his feet.
I gotta feeling that Crosby is due for another big game or two done the stretch and into A10 tournament play, and beyond.

No, my wooden nose is not growing, and I didn't yell "no". That was the jack-wad who sits behind me 2 rows that thinks he is Coach K that my wife is going to shut down hard in a verbal bout one of these days. He was yelling, "No, what are you doing Crosby.......(silence)....."
He went 3-3, therefore, was 8-20 coming in. That's a 40% clip. When he pulls up for a 3, within the game plan, I'm all for it.

I am glad John still had the confidence to take those shots. How many times in a previous era did you yell - just shoot the f'n ball London.

Amen. The touch and arch John had on two threes last night was textbook. That one went through so softly it looked like a point blank shot dropped from over the rim.

Our 2 best 3 point shooters are now . . . Crosby, followed by KD?!
With XW a whisker behind Cooke for 4th place?
NOBODY would have bet that superfecta after the first 2 weeks of the season. Not even if they were drunk in Vegas at 3 AM. No way, no how.

I know London was not a good shooter but he had zero confidence. There was too many times he was wide open (probably by design) but I felt he should have let it go more than he did.

Far from a direct comparison, but I thought Jimmy Binnie should have been shooting more than he did. UD Career 3pt pct of 34.4% and yet, when he had an open shot, half the time he just stopped and waited for someone to pass the ball to.

It sure helps. Interesting that no one has mentioned the really sweet pull up jumper in the lane that Crosby hit. That would be a welcome weapon as well.

Voted for Crosby. Go man!
There was talk of London having crooked or disjointed fingers. Believe I heard Bucky once said something to the effect that they resemble a football lineman's fingers. I wonder if that played a part in him not taking shots.

I think with a different coach, with a higher tolerance level for mistakes, he would have been better. Arch doesn't put the cuffs on, or even caste an evil eye. As long as the shot is taken in it's proper rhythm within the offense.

Yeah, Gregory was wild emotionally on the sidelines, over the most basic stuff. He would throw a fit at the wrong time. He gave his players little support; and he was always blaming plays and a loss on the players. From his perspective, he and the staff were never involved.

If Pollard can take 20+ in a year, LW would have taken 50 under Archie.

The 106 votes in this poll is a high for the 2016-17 season. We need 23 more votes to break the All-Time Golden Poll record of 128 vs Duquesne last season...
