In the pregame they basically said Williams had missed 10 weeks of practice and did not have his game legs yet. We will likely see him the second half of the year.

That was a very entertaining game between two quality teams. I was getting a bit concerned in the 2nd half for a spell, but when you are concerned that you only have a 13 pt lead, that is a very good sign.

That first half was something special to watch in person. An absolute clinic on how to play high intensity team basketball.

And if they make a few outside jumpers after half, we'd be talking about 40 minutes of great basketball. I was really impressed overall...shooting is fickle. That's why you play great defense and hold a good offensive team to 53 points.

Good comments Chef. Pretty much regurgitated your comments on-air. Sorry I didnt credit you.

The good news is, the CIT games won't be true road games. So, the crowd in these first games in Chicago will not be so hostile. But, it won't be UD Arena either. How do the young players react? Can Wright and MJ shoulder this team through the adversity they will most certainly see in these upcoming games?

How do we react if we get behind early? Dayton hasn't been behind in a game by more than 2 points since the 1st half of the first game against Wofford.

Good points. The games in Chicago will be like small gym A10 games with a fair amount of UD fans there. We should have more there than Auburn and be close to even in fans with Marquette.

This will be a nice test for the guys ... young team on the road ... are they ready? I think so because they do one thing really well and consistently really well ... play defense.

Awesome first half! Wow!

Second half, well, needed a little bit of work. But, I put that on 2 things. Number 1, LW and RL getting their 3rd fouls early caused us to slow down our hectic pace and calm things down. ST covered for LW/RL very well in his 3 minutes in the second half, but we didn't push as much. Number 2, they started taking us inside more, and were able to throw us a bit off defensively. They didn't shoot well all game and we shot 35% less shots in the second half than we did in the first. (And shot worse too.) I know, how can we complain when we didn't have a lead less than 12 in the second half. Looking at the box score, we had 10 TO's in the 2nd half, compared to 5 in the 1st. 1 steal compared to 3, but thankfully, only 9 fouls compared to 14!

Charles Little played a very good game. That dunk in the early part of the game down the lane was awesome. He put the ball on the floor once, and went straight for it with 2 hands. Then his few 10 footers in the lane when noone was on him was great. 5-9 Pretty nice.

We definately won that game in the first 10 minutes. At 10:06, we were up 27-10. The last 30 minutes, we won 44-43. And, it's the first half of basketball we've lost all year. Hey, I want perfection!
