That was earlier. He played after that and seemed ok.
Josh is still a bit slow and does not jump like he can. May not this year.

Why is it that I always hear that Sam Miller is a great outside shooter and that Payton Aldridge and Tyler Cavanaugh are great all around players. Yet I've never, even once, seen Sam Miller nail 3s for one game like those 2 do every time we play them?

We haven't played this bad n a long while. Let's hope we got it out of our system. I don't care if we win or lose, but we need to win the 2nd half.

You might but we all know Archie won't. The best adjustment you can hope for is to start trapping more on ball screens like they did a Davidson but that took until the 6 or 7 minute mark.
I was going to type earlier that pressing might be a good idea to get the game moving more, but I decided I would just be wasting the characters I typed. Archie doesn't show urgency and believes his system will work in the end.

Yes. I do think he's a pretty good 3 point shooter, he just doesn't get the minutes for other reasons.

Cooke is a slasher, yet Crosby is looking all-american slasher compared to Cooke. He looks confused and disinterested. 1-4 shooting and no rebounds.

Cooke with a horribly lazy pass. Archie takes a timeout to yell at him.
He did at least finally hit a 3 a couple possessions before that.

Archie gave Cooke the stare and Cooke just ran to the end of the huddle without looking. Maybe this will light his fire, because he needs to sit very soon.

If we're lucky, maybe the Committee will drop us all the way to 10-Seed?

Well, part of that equation is relying on the refs to call those fouls. But don't think I'm complaining about the refs tonight. They're not the reason why we look like dog vomit.

And now Cunningham is hurt again because of a short entry pass by Scoochie.
Edit. He somehow stayed in after that fall.

Cunningham appears okay but that looked like a potentially bad fall. The last thing we need is an injury during this game.

Yep, that's this game: miss a layup to cut the lead to nine, GW hits a three, Mikesell gets called for a weak foul, GW makes a jumper, gets fouled, makes the FT. Rather than being down nine, we're down 17.

As soon as I don't blame the refs, they call an imaginary foul on Mikesell (I guess he had the nerve to breathe on Cavanaugh), which led to an And 1 for Watanabe.

Don't forget that UD is down a guard too. Darrell isn't coming back in.

I think it's about Trey Landers and Sam Miller time.
Gotta play for the 10 seed.

Disappointing the way our go to guys, Scoochie and Cooke can so completely disappear at times.

Is this the first team we've played this year that sets screens on offense because the next screen we actually fight through will be the first.

Yeah, and on the replay, it looked like Cavanaugh might have gotten away with a moving screen before the "sneezing" foul on Mikesell.

At this point, it might be time for A. Miller to start identifying other players who aren't coming back, too. Might need to start protecting people.

Did I just hear that not only did Don Donoher coach the 1967 Runners Up but that he actually went for 17 points in the National Championship game as well? Impressive!

But he did at least drive the time before the missed layup and got Xman a 3.
And Scoochie blows a layup too.

Hard to hit that many threes in practice with nobody guarding you...
If I am AM, I would be more concerned with the 7 steals GW has. You can control that...

Charles Cooke keeps stopping when he gets the ball in his hands. This is what drives me nuts. It he needs to make his decisions quicker because it stifles the offense.

As poorly as we've shot free throws tonight, we might be shooting a higher percentage there than on layups.

I don't think he can right now because he has absolutely no lift compared to what he's used to. Needs to work on his old man game finishing.

These Cunningham minutes could really prove big later on. And that spill he took and got up from could have boosted his psychological comeback, too. He was studly at the beginning of the year. To get him back to 80% of that would be huge.
