This may very well be a long, long season. Thought we enough talent to contend for an at large bid this season, but it's certainly not looking that way now. 2 losses in a row. This really sucks.

At least any hopes of getting back to the tournament are squashed early in the season rather than later. Anyone have a number on how many threes we took tonight? Ridiculous.

Absolutely. Only a freshman. I'm probably most disappointed in Wright so far this year. No excuses for his disappearing act when we need him most.

You think it because we all do. We all know and see the talent they have, but they don't have the fire anymore. **** NIT might be the worst thing to happen to us.

WOW!! No offensive movement.......just jacking up 3s all night. I think Parker and Staten are the only two guys that can create their own shots right now. Lots of work ahead for this team.

Larry Hansgen termed this game an "upset." Sorry Larry, this was not an upset. We have a team that cannot run an offense, and consequently, we are at this point a very poor basketball team.

Once again, don't forget we have been to the tournament the last 2 years and lost NOBODY off of last years team. We aren't exactly the worst team to lose to.
I wish you guys luck the rest of the year.

At least we have that. All those road losses in the A10 shouldn't be as painful.

Thank god we pulled the Savannah State and Ole Miss games out of our rear ends.
To be honest, I would rather have the freshman CW playing at a thousand miles per hour crashing to the hoop every possesion and showing energy/enthusiasm than the guy that has been out there the last two games. That guy actually put the defense back on their heels.

Unfortunately, I predicted this loss and it only gets worse.....Saturday, I suspect that we will be getting about a point from Miami spread-wise.

So when do we have the obligatory "players only meeting". Is that tomorrow or after we lose to Miami?

After Miami. It would appear desperate at this point. Oh I forgot we are desperate. I say the meeting is at Tim's on Thursday at midnight.
The problem is tha I'm not sure which player calls the players only meeting because the team leader usually does this and we don't have one.

Things are already messy in my opinion. Back to back losses where the team showed little offense and little perimeter defense. Why do other teams continue to shoot lights out from three the whole game and we cant seem to hit the broad side of a barn except in small spurts? Our "NBA first round draft pick" is MIA and the teams looks like it lacks chemistry and leadership from within.
Think about it. This team is lucky to be 5-2. It could easily be 3-4 right now. I'm not jumping ship but any dreams of an NCAA bid are not even on the radar at this point. BG is struggling to find the right mix of guys on the court and the mix might not even matter if CW doesnt stop playing like an out of control bull in a ring. Gregory has his work cut out for him this year.

I haven't seen the out of control bull in a ring. I see a guy standing around and roaming the perimeter. I prefer the out of control bull in a ring compared the guy we have seen the last two games.

UD cut it to 3. Staten drove into the trees and turned it over trying to kick it cross court through 2 people.

What Ive seen is a guy who when he gets the ball at the top of the key and drives to the basket (the few times that he does), he always drives to his right and hopes he can get to the hoop for an easy bucket or that he gets bailed out with a defensive foul. Many times he gets called for an offensive foul or his shot gets blocked. Thats what I mean by an out of control bull in a ring. Then BG tells him to stop forcing things and he becomes MIA.
Tonight ETSU plays two or three zone defenses and neither he or the team know how to attack them. You would think we could recognize these zone defenses earlier and adjust accordingly. The Flyers are way too predictable right now in my opinion and thats on Gregory.
