No audio here either. Austin Peay doesn't list anything, so this is a bummer.

Angel with her first Flyer kill, and the Flyers win the second set 25-7. Not 100% sideout, they got two in a row from 4->6.

The 7 points allowed by the Flyers in the second set is the fewest since the La Salle game in November of 2010 when we allowed 5 only points. (That match was 5/11/11 for the Flyers.)

Nice description of the audio. It's very hard to listen to and I had to give up.
The Flyers did a very good job holding them to such a low score, given Austin Peay is better competition than La Salle.

I wonder if the team that did the NBC Olympics are doing the audio here.
"It is set to Krabacher and ......... Krabacher back to serve." Argh!?!?!

And there it is, Flyers win set 3, 25-21. After getting an early lead, they just kept the lead, and it went back and forth most of the rest of the way. At the end of the match we had most of the second stringers coming in, except for Krabacher, Selsky and Krafka based on play-by-play information. The commentator did mention that Dayton ran out of substitutions, though.

Pretty much as expected. Perhaps the third set a bit closer than desired, but everyone got court time - which over the long haul is important.

Yeah -- don't be worried about the 3rd set score. Everyone and their 3rd cousin was in. And I thought those freshmen and sophomores played well in mostly their first time on the floor for the Flyers.
My audio was in-and-out too. I did hear part of Sheff's post-match interview. He said Paige played well. Came in and got 3 aces and a lot of digs. Also said we did not block well. I thought blocking was an issue last week. Our numbers weren't that bad, but way too many balls falling between our block and the net on our side. That means we are not getting penetration up over the net. We should have had way more blocks last week. Sheff said same in this match -- we should have had a ton of blocks. He said something like our arms were swinging all over the place. There is work to be done -- but I know these ladies will get after it.
Otherwise, based on stats it looks like we took care of business, which is good to see when you are playing a team you should sweep.
Toughest match this weekend is tonight.

Well after I just said the toughest match this weekend is tonight -- maybe not. Missouri State took 5 sets to beat Oral Roberts earlier today. MO St has traditionally challenged for an NCAA bid against conference foes Northern Iowa, Wichita State and occasionally Creighton. But they are 1-3 this year (although it's early). Might be a down year for them?? Either way, we need to sweep both them and Oral Roberts on Sunday.

Game Career Highs
Code:

JJ | kills | 4
AA | kills | 1
JL | errors | 1
JL | attempts | 6
JJ | attempts | 10
AA | attempts | 2

Points by Service
Alaina Turner - 3/5 - .600
Allyson Morey - 0/2 - .000
Brigid Campbell - 1/3 - .333
Janna Krafka - 5/11 - .455
Kaitlyn Krause - 6/8 - .750
Megan Campbell - 1/4 - .250
Paige Vargas - 4/6 - .667
Rachel Jones - 0/1 - .000
Rachel Krabacher - 12/18 - .667
Samantha Selsky - 8/13 - .615
Shayne Brown - 2/3 - .667
Team Totals - 42/74 - .567
( Note: I've modified the play by play to give Alaina 2 more serves than what is listed officially, because they list Paige twice, then her, in 3 straight serves, where Paige had just had a service error. If I'm correct, Paige is then credited with an ace that should be Alaina's.)
Milestones
Rachel Krabacker moves up to 9th in career attempts with 3,157, and moves upto 15th in career attempts with 1,059.

Thanks for the stats, Figgie! A question - should Samantha Selsky's point % (8/13) be .615 instead of .381?

That would definately seem better, math wise, yes. Thanks for catching it.
