Maybe we can pull this one out, but we are much better when we play teams with walkons and injuries. Look at what we have devolved to! Really looking forward to the Battle for Atlantis next year. Baring a miracle we will be humiliated.

A really sad stat among all the really sad ones is with their 11 turnovers and our 4 steals, we have zero fast break points. Our slow down strategy is not working.

Question, who is more listless, the Flyers, or the La Salle color commentator?

We could win by 5 or lose by 30. I honestly believe it could go either way.
However, I refuse to assign % of probability to those numbers.

In a season which the A-10 is as awful as it's been since the Flyers became a member, UD is as bad as anyone. How did we go downhill so quickly? Probably my least favorite UD team ever. If they don't seem to care, why should I?

What the heck is Cunningham's problem. No effort.
What the heck is Crutcher's problem. No effort.
And so goes this team.

I get sick of Larry saying "this is gut-check time for the Flyers." I have heard him say that a million times this year. If you haven't figured it out yet Larry, UD has no guts to check. Soft as Charmin

I mean, we're not even competitive against La Salle. It's not like they are RI, Davidson, SBU, etc. Crutcher riding the pine along with Jordan Davis, Crosby and Westerfield with extensive playing time, no Kostas except for a couple minutes. I seriously do not get what is going on with this team, from the coach to the players.

Love my Flyers good years and bad. I was thinking about the ‘92-‘93 team and that terrible year that we suffered through. A difference is that team started bad but didn’t get worse during the year — if I recall correctly. Have we seen this type of deterioration before?

Once again giving up 55% shooting to a poor team. These guys just do not care about defense, and give little effort. When we shoot great we win. When we shoot poorly our defense kills us.

We can't defend . We can't penetrate. We can't rebound. We can't shoot. Other that that we're ok.

Kostas is a 25% FT shooter. Jacks a 3. That's just like flipping the bird at your head coach.

Their walk on drains a 3 in garbage time.
Our walk on was playing in the first half.

You make it sound like he was making some kind of a real difference or contribution.
As for Westerfield, the only reason you think he is an offensive liability, is because UD doesn't know how to play inside-out basketball, or how to swing it "Opposite" to a shooter.

As for Westerfield, the only reason you think he is an offensive liability, is because UD doesn't know how to play inside-out basketball, or how to swing it "Opposite" to a shooter.

How about basketball, period! So you think Westerfield is better than Jordan?
Like we have the players to play inside out.

Doesn't he know UD is out in the "STICKS?" Per another notorious Phily native.

Big game Saturday. Looks like the winner gets a first round bye. Like it's going to matter...

Better than most think, and at-least as good as half of his teammates. I would hold my breath that Westerfield is a better spot-up shooter than Crosby or either Davis.

If Barbara Streisand can clone her f'in dog twice, why can't we clone Landers once? Or twice!

We need more Westerfield. Not playing him enough is what's killing this team! LMFAO! He's a prototypical walk on for gods sake! A career of 9 made baskets at 22%. We are a joke playing him. One of the many reasons we lost to a bad Lasalle team by three touchdowns!!

Yeah we need more 6th men. That's our problem. A nice role player, we count on to be a star. He ain't that!

AG praising Trey, and that's probably the only thing he can do, along with saying good things about Westerfield. Not good for the other guys.

AG indirectly called out everyone except Trey and Westerfield. He clearly is fed up but appears to be resigned to the fact that he has to put 5 guys on the floor but only those two are deserving.

Our problem is that nobody else is worth cloning. Way too many bad attitudes out there.

Grant also said he saw this coming. What’s most disappointing to me is that Josh and Crutcher don’t have enough pride to finish the season with their heads held up. We are done here for 2017-18. Will be a very entertaining and possibly surprising offseason.

I hope XW and JP were able to find time to watch the team they quit on while studying for mid terms.

Early '70s for me, and I can't recall anything this bad, except for maybe the end of the 1988-89 season (Donoher's last).
They lost consecutive road games, by 17 at St. Louis, and by 26 at Evansville (the infamous "Scott Haffner scored 65 and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" game). Those were the first 2 of 6 consecutive losses to end the regular season. But then, they recovered to win the MCC tournament opener against Detroit, and they took Evansville to OT before losing by 5 to end the season and the Donoher era. Thanks to the online version of the Media Guide for the info.
That's the last and only time I can recall going into the season optimistic and being this disappointed in the team's effort this late in the season.

Does it make anyone feel better that after tonight's loss to George Mason, VCU also has a losing record in A10 conference play?
Didn't think so...

If nothing else, we're seeing what Trey Landers is made of and it's something that is going to endear him to Flyer fans over the next two seasons. He hasnt shut anything down. You wonder how he never played at all a year ago. Were we that good, or Landers that bad? This year's Landers could have helped last year's team immensely.

I think it's an injury where it's touch and go. Just have to see how you're doing at the time.
Also don't discount the work he put in the during the last offseason.

Trey Landers posted two photos to Twitter on Sept. 26: before-and-after shots showing the progression he has made as a member of the Dayton Flyers men’s basketball team.
The Wayne grad Landers dropped 10 pounds in the offseason. He weighs 215 entering his sophomore season. He wanted to get down to 210, but 215 will work.
“I would say right now I’m in the best shape I’ve been in in a long time,” Landers said Monday, “and it feels good
