I agree. Go UD!! If we keep our heads together and play like I know we can I know we can win this.
And for those interested, channelsurfing.net is covering the game.
As a proud member of the Red Scare, I'm stuck at work on a Sunday watching it from my computer... GO FLYERS!!

Hope for once we don't take it down to the wire. Sooner or latter we'll come up short.

We shouldn't be running plays for Kurt with the clock running down.
He does lots of good things for the team, but clutch scoring isn't one of them.

If you double click on the video it goes to full screen, but the quality it's good at all. (Can't even read the numbers)

Ugly
Wow, we look horrible. The Bonnies are driving to the basket almost at will. Some of our shots have been dismal.
Down 3.

We have to rebound better or we are in trouble.
We are much better in transition than in the half court, and without rebounds ot TOs we can't start the break.

I don't take any pleasure in ripping on UD players, but there is a reason why the players are playing the minutes they play. Too many people think the unknown is better then the known just because it might be different from the known.

First, I'm not sure what a 'Nancy' is, and secondly, I'm pretty calm - I was just wondering if one of our players missing a shot had made you happy. Just seemed like a strange thing to me that you'd reply like that.

My favorite NBA player as a kid was Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson. He'd come in for a few minutes and sometimes get hot and make 4 or 5 shots in a row. I would love MP to become UD's Microwave...

agreeed. Putting Luke in now would go against what everyone has been arguing this whole year....playing the guys who are hot.
If we are playing well with the guys on the floor, no need for subs unless rest or foul trouble
if it aint broke

KH blows a WIDE open layup....
Larry: That would've been one of those times to dunk the basketball.
(Me in my office: Have you seen Kurt try to dunk Larry?)

30-20 at the 4 minute timeout....Then the substitutions come and we end the half up 30-23. When will BG realize that we need to play our best guys more often! I feel like I/We are beating a dead horse...but jeesh!

UD 30-23 at half. We seemed to let up a little in the last couple minutes.

Thomas playing like he is running in sand. Why not put RL in for that last offensive run.

I played a game of 21 with Vinnie once when he was holding out with the Pistons. He was built like a brick outhouse and could shoot lights out. He scored 21 and nobody else got on the board.

FlyerGuyer,
I never said Searcy was my boy. In fact, he is not. But did you notice when we had a smaller but faster and far more athletic line up on the floor we went on a run???
I dont think either of them should see more than 8-10 mins. play wright and little down low with CJ on the wing. THAT TEAM IS FAR BETTER THAN ANY THAT INCLUDES HUELSMAN OR SEARCY.
FlyerGuyer, what is it about huels that makes you want to defend him? the fact that he doesnt rebound, misses wide open layups, turns the ball over, or clogs the middle for our driving athletes?

he"s just bad, really unbeliveably bad and getting worse. Unfortunatly we don't have a better option. We have to suffer him for now.

Chris Johnson with 7 and 5.
Chris Wright with 10 and 4.
As a team, we've got 7 assists on 8 field goals, which is very good, but 7 turnovers as well.
We've forced them into 10 turnovers.
Want to know any other specifics?

I like the small lineup - DS and KH are not getting it done today (matador defense and airballs/blown layups)- keep CJ and CW in the game together!
Keep up the defensive pressure and we are ready to break this one open.
(MJ has not woken up yet, but he will.)

I like the small lineup also. Spread the floor. Bonnies throwing a lot of defenses at the Flyers.

This was at Oakland Commuinty College back in the '80s. VJ was a hold out and worked out there and we all knew to leave him alone. A couple of us were shooting a game of '21' and he came over and asked if he could play. We ran 2 or 3 games and by the time we were done anybody withinh 5 miles of the gym had joined the game.

That's cool, I was just messing around. You do have a point there.

The kid is like what, 19-20 years old? People seem obsessed with trashing him. Constructive criticism is one thing, outright trashing is another...

They have outrebounded us 19-17. We have 4 on the offensive glass, and have allowed them to get 4 offensive rebounds as well.
5 guys recorded exactly 1 steal for us, which is great.
I am not posting these to start a fight, but the two players have been mentioned a lot on this thread.
Huelsman - 12 minutes, 0 points, 0-2 from the field, 0 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 TO, 0 blocks
Searcy - 6 minutes, 2 points, 1-3 shooting, 0-fer in everything else.

all the stats we need.
Getting out rebounded. We're winning ths at the foul line so far.
No point or rebounds from Kurt-- again! Little's done next to nothing. Need to see a lot more of CJ.
Anybody else notice how great his hands are. Comes up with loose balls, rarely fumbles. wish he got more minutes. He could be frosh of the year in the A-10 if BG game him the minutes.

Yes, he is. He played 6 minutes in the first - I was actually pleased with his play. Nothing that special, but he came up with a couple loose balls and a very strong rebound.
Still needs to be more confident and assertive on the offensive end.
