I have NBCS at home but I am out of town for the weekend. Anybody know of a stream? First Row Sports maybe?
May be stuck with Bucky and Larry...

I hate watching games against St. Louis. It's guaranteed to be slow, low scoring and long.
Win and it'll be worth it. Lose, and it was a complete waste of time I could have better spent at the gym.

SLU didn't play that slow against Butler, even with a pretty good lead.

The only games worse than the St Louis are Miami of Ohio. I hope the new coach has them playing at a better pace. Normally these are yawners with the teams shooting about 35%.
That being said UD should press, trap and run.

I am very interested to see who starts the game for UD? Will Archie keep the same 5 or will he change it up...

The big question is 'how will Benson react to being benched?'
Will he try too hard when he gets in and draw early fouls and take bad shots?
Will he understand and take a step back and play to his strengths?
Will he pout and play softer than usual, letting ego get in the way of his job?
All Flyer Fans and coaches will be watching his every move, regardless of whether it's on the bench or on the court.
For all our sakes, I hope he has a career game.
(at least I didn't say 'if')

SLU took advantage of Butler's 23 turnovers. They saw an opportunity and used it. I can never tell what Flyer team we are going to see and that is frustrating, but I just don't want to see us give SLU the game like Butler did.

Dayton is now 8-1 when playing games on Saturdays. Looking fordward to seeing the Flyers come back with toughness.
The only good Flyer news I've heard recently is that JB won't be starting (Bucky and Larry just confirmed it). Hopefully this shows players that starting and playing time have to be earned.

Good points, but I just cannot see how he is surprised; in fact, the surprise would be if this did not happen.

Anyone just see Derenbecker take like 7 baby steps backward before taking and missing that 3...no dribbles and no call.
These refs HATE UD!!!!

I believe we are at 9 turnovers already...on the path to 30 if we don't become more disciplined with the basketball.

9 turnovers, shooting 37% and letting them shoot over 50% with a ton of layups. It is the some old song no matter who we put in to sing it.

What kind of defense are we playing? I looks like 5 on 4 every other time down. We switch and rotate into total confusion.

They are shooting 57% to our 36%. Of course they are shooting layups and many of our shots are street ball.

I can understand packing it in to make them beat you from outside. But giving them BOTH inside and outside? If I have to hear Larry say "wide open" once more I'm going to upchuck. Unacceptable! Hard to see how this season will produce a silver lining. anyone have ideas?

"You can tell, Dayton is just frustrated." From NBC Sports.
What about us fans. Simply speechless. Watched the x game, read every post on the thread and simply could not say anything good, so I said nothing.

Why is Matt guarding a 6 foot speedster.... layup. Gavs with the lazy reach for a pass... "I used to be able to do that on the slow guys in France."

Utterly embarrassing. In a matter of two seasons, we've gone from being a very good defensive team to one who plays defense at a level of a high school team. And on top of that, our offense involves dribbling around and forcing a shot. Disgusting.

It reminds me of a game I attended at UD Arena during the Jim O'Brien era. There were about 6,000 fans at the game watching University of Missouri at Kansas City dismantle the Flyers by over 20 points. Then-President Fitz was sitting in the lower arena, essentially by himself, with a complete look of disbelief. This feels eerily the same.

The Billikens probably have more difficulty making lay-ups during pre-game practice.

If our team plays like they don't care then why should we care? Fan apathy is a very dangerous thing Archie Miller, Tim Wabler, and Dan Curran.

We are seeing why Gavs does not play. No jump, no D, no catch the ball, no speed, no game.

Well I cant take this anymore, I'm turning the channel and getting an adult beverage. I'm getting visions of Jim O'Brien every time I blink my eyes watching this circus.

I was thinking the same thing. Dr. Curran and Tim Wabler have a lot of things in place for a wonderful legacy. Unfortunately, a basketball program in tatters is something that would seriously harm both of their legacies.

Appropriately, the Antioch Shrine Circus is in town at the UD Arena this weekend.

Who should be nominated for the Golden Eunuch award today? Other than Dillard and Oliver, I'm not sure who to add...
HELP!

This is pitiful and embarrasing to a D1 team and program. I would either take out all the starters and sit them down or I would make KD, VS, DO, JB stay out there for the entire slaughter and see if they get the message and are embarrased. The fifth player would be one of the walkons. He would at least care.

I just turned off the video version of the game and turned on Larry and Bucky. Larry sounds like he is in a complete state of depression. There is no animation in Bucky's voice at all. No one anticipated this kind of breakdown in our team, I am sure.

Unfortunately this is not about caring or effort. We have lost all our confidence and execution and that says the coaching staff has lost the team.

For 19 years I've always felt comfortable and assured that we had the right coach leading the UD men's basketball team. For the first time since early 1994 I am not so sure. That is downright scary.

My senior year in high school UD won 4 games. My freshman and sophomore years at UD they won 13 games combined. Through all that, right now I feel more disappointed in this program than I did during those years.

It's a very sick feeling. I am always a person who looks down the road...and when I do, it gets very, very ugly for this program.

we look for good players to turn this around, but that is not the answer. We have just as much talent as St. Louis, X, Butler, etc. We have a coaching staff that is scared to death, lacks confidence and players that do not believe in them.

You just hit the nail on the head, Jack. I don't think Tim Wabler and Dan Curran would pull the plug on Archie this year, but I'll bet it is crossing both of their minds. They and we Flyer fans would be very, very disappointed if this type of play continued next year.

St Louis holds us to 52 points and 42% shooting and only has 9 fouls for the game. That shows how passive and predictable we are on offense and how wimpy we have gotten rebounding the ball.
