6 turnovers, and 10 fouls. No other game since 2000-01 has UD had a game with both of those numbers at those levels. We had 6 TOs and 11 fouls against Georgia Tech in Dec 2014. Going out to 8/12, there have only been 6 games like that since 2000-01.

What you saw out there tonight was next year's team minus a year of seasoning and without Jordy, Ibi, and Rodney.
After Archie graduated the Four Horsemen, the cupboard was bare. It's a slow climb out, but Grant is also slowly adding his chess pieces. Aint gonna happen as quick as fans want, but much like Hurley at URI if you can measure progress in those victories between games and in offseasons, I think Grant has what it takes to get us there.
Improved D certainly has to be a part of that equation of course. And if nothing else, I dont see us with the headcases issues this year that mucked up the on-court vibes. Whether the talent is there to get enough done -- remains to be seen.

I agree to some degree they ran out of gas but I think it was more taking the air out of the ball and running a more deliberate offense. They did not fair well doing that.

UNF Coach
LAST WORD
"Playing in an atmosphere like tonight and against a team like Dayton, everything matters. We played well in stretches but allowed our performance in 10 to 12 key possessions hurt the overall outcome. We had opportunities tonight and our guys learned first hand that little things mean a great deal. We will get up in the morning and prepare for our next game." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll.

Frankie is either: a) that bad, b) being redshirted, c) has an undisclosed problem. The fact that he did not play when we were up by 20, and had guys cramping, and against an inferior opponent, who were wore out, is very telling.

A bit too soon to read anything into it IMO. He got 10 minutes against Capital and had 2 pf's and 2 to's, a rb and a steal and a block. Sounds like the kind of hyperactive stat line that Kostas had. I would think as a true Freshman that he just has to let the game come to him a bit. Cohill had a similar stat line, but there is a world of difference between them in savvy and confidence.
Then look who is contesting for forward minutes-- Mikesell, Toppin, Josh, Frankie and possibly Landers, Matos--depending on the opposition we are facing.
And we don't see the practices where a player really earns his minutes. I think Frankie is on a typical Freshman learning curve with some typically good talent ahead of him right now.
