Who will be the A10T champ?
At Sir CE80's request, we have a non-Golden Poll...let's call it a Red-and-Blue Poll:

Seems like there is only one correct answer to this poll.
Okay - but honestly, I don't think we will have the chops when it comes to depth to win 3 days in a row... but still, there is only one correct answer to this poll

Obviously, I have never been accused of being an over-the-top "HOMER", but I have zero doubt the Flyers being capable of winning the Auto Bid.
Realistically at least half of the conference schools could do it. However, I would suspect that it will likely be VCU, Davidson, Dayton, Saint Louis, or Bonnaventure.
Not Mason, and not Duquesne.
Go Flyers Beat LaSalle first, and don't worry about anything else...right ChrisR????
You don't even have to say it, as I have done so for you.
One of the poll choices should have been "Anybody that bedell doesn't want to win...everybody except VCU.

Had to vote for someone besides my Flyers, because when I vote FOR them, they lose. So, yeah, I picked Godzilla (VCU) to stomp on the rest of the conference.
Prove me wrong, Gentlemen.

I think we will. Though tragically flawed, we can win in this very, very down year for the a10.

I usually just cast my vote in any poll. Don't broadcast my selection. I will make an exception. I voted VCU. I just think their depth is too much for our guys to beat especially playing back to back (and maybe another to back) games.

I’m going with the theory it’s hard to beat a team 3 times in a year. But I also think both coaches and players have figured out some things. If our outside shots are falling we will win. If they are not, we can pound it inside. Now will we pound it inside to Josh and Obi? I don’t think the coaches will “let” them not. Everyone on the floor has the ability to get the ball into Josh and Obi.
I voted UD.

HIGH VOLATILITY
Atlantic 10
Team that history favors most: No. 4 seed
Team that history does NOT favor: No. 1 seed
Welcome to the home of the bid-stealer. Over the past couple of years, this conference tourney has been about as hard to call as any.
Not only has a different team won the tournament each of the past four years, but each of the past five champions has been seeded third or worse.
This tournament has been tough on the top seeds through the years. How tough?
The last No. 1 seed to win was Saint Louis in 2013, and last year was the first time since then that a No. 1 seed reached the championship game. In fact, in the past decade, the top seed lost in the quarterfinals -- its first game -- four times (2011, 2012, 2014 and 2017). Beware, VCU.
• Although the No. 2 seed finished as a runner-up five straight years from 2013 to 2017 (all versus lower-seeded opponents, of course), the last 2-seed to win the A-10 tourney was Temple 11 years ago.
• Interestingly, the seed to watch has been the No. 4. Over the past seven years, 4-seeds have accounted for four titles.

I voted for the Flyers and I'm with BeckysTXA that if we get hot from outside, and I think we will, we will win it. I think playing three (or four days) in a row obviously doesn't favor a team with no depth but if we got hot from outside maybe there's more of a chance it carries over each day for three days in a row instead of having rest in between games.

I think this is spot on. I'd give them a plurality chance to win, perhaps 40%. Dayton about 25%. Davidson and GMU have the talent but seem to have faded lately, perhaps 10 for DC and 3 for GMU. SBU 8, SLU 6, URI 6, DUQ 1. Everybody else less than 1 combined with LAS being the majority of that.

I wonder if GM hc Paulsen gets more than one more year, he has not even made the NIT there yet in this, his 4th year.
Paulsen signed a 5 year deal thru 2020 but later got an extension thru 2022. His predecessor, Paul Hewitt, was fired after only 4 years.
And it seems like Richmond's Mooney is done this year barring an A10T title run, although his contract does run thru 2021.

Do we have a chance? Yes. One game at a time, starting with Saturday at Duquesne. Let's build some momentum.
