Near term prosperity, then what?

Even the Debbie Downers on this board believe that we will be fairly good next year. Those of us that tend not to look through un-rose colored glasses believe that we could be looking at a top 25 team. There is also the likelihood that UD could duplicate that the following year even without Obi. These will be two good set-up years for recruiting.

I really believe the future of this program will be set in stone by Grant over the next two recruiting classes. We have seen ups and downs in this program for decades. Probably the most consistent thing about UD over the last 40 years is inconsistency. We really can't afford to have another dip in productivity after these two years of potential glory. If we want to become a consistent threat to the be part of the second weekend of the tournament and improved scheduling, we have to win and win every year. The next six months are exceptionally critical.

Let's hope we have some exciting "Welcome to the Family....." threads in the near future.

completely agree, who Grant can land in the transfer market with the two current open scholarships probably and the 2020 class will tell the tale

for the angst about the lack activity recruiting this spring, with a big next year and major openings after the current junior class graduates, AG should be in a position to land some high level transfers

I'm fine with the lack of Class of 2019 recruiting (barring Sissoko), since the 2020 roster looks solid and deep. Class of 2020 recruiting is key right now, with at least four, probably five, roster spots open as of now, and a glaring need for a PG in the 2022 season (preferably filled by a class of 2020 kid and another in 2021).

The coaches should have a handle by now on who they're looking good with in the Class of 2020. If they're not content with what they're seeing, I'm quite happy to bring in 2 transfers this fall, along with a freshman or two for next year.

It's (almost) all about talent. Grant has cleared the ranks of the questionable talent. I'm content with the perceived talent or potential of every single player on the 2020 roster, and the depth if one or two of those eleven guys disappoint us.
